Politician bloggers rollcall...are there any?

Mon Apr 07, 2008 at 07:15:19 AM PDT

After writing my diary about Rep. Nicole LeFavour yesterday and mentioning her blog Notes From The Floor, I got to thinking...what other active legislators are active bloggers?  Are there any?

I don't just mean the occasional diaries that luminary and not so luminary politicians (and their staff) post here on DK or other sites.  And I don't mean national or other local and regional politicians who have blogs on campaign websites or "official" websites that are managed by staff.

I mean honest to goodness bloggers.  Elected officials with blogs that they write and maintain themselves.  Ones in which they share their own thoughts, perspectives and other information with the world.  Ones like Rep. LeFavour...or something that may resemble that.  Are there any other politicians who make the time in their busy schedules to communicate with their constituents in such an open forum?

Help me collect the list of them!

Though I'm doubting it will in this time of over the top campaign blogging, I would love to see this diary stay around a while in order to get a number of comments that can help us find these blogs.  I'm sure there are folks here who know about some...right?

I haven't really found another survey or rollcall or any other list with type of blogroll, so I thought I'd start asking and if we can pull one together.  If I'm wrong, please point my way to that list!  I'll be happy to update this diary to compile the list in an easier to find fashion, but I need your help to find them!

Somehow, I'm pessimistic that this list will get very long.  I think this type of direct communication is an anomaly in the political world.  One I'm sure we'd love to read and support.  Granted, we wouldn't want these activities to take them away from their "real jobs" of governing, that takes a lot of time and energy.  It's not as though they would have to sit there waiting for comments to rebut, nor would they have to be extended missives, but some simple commentary and insight.  And I'm talking politicians of all makes Dem, Rep, Green, Lib...whatever.  Of course, we could probably guess in which court the majority of these may land.

So...who knows where they are?

While I walk to work, why don'tcha send y'er links right here!
