Members of the Kennedy family are incensed over Hillary Rodham Clinton's invoking the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy to explain why she's staying in the race - and they think it could be the death knell of an increasingly desperate and sloppy campaign.
"That comment may be the last nail in her campaign's coffin," a Kennedy relative told The Post. "How can Hillary even use the experience argument when she repeatedly pushes the wrong buttons in her comments?"
An insider added, "I think people really felt that a line was crossed and that her campaign - and even her legitimacy as a politician - ended today."
Looks like besides Robert Kennedy Jr. a Hillary Clinton supporter, there are within the family those who were clearly not pleased at all. It certainly shows that the MSM got it right this time, this comments were offensive to a lot of people, not only the Kennedys to whom HRC expressed regrets to, but I would think to any common sense person who has seen the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to presidential elections and just knows that you just dont go there period, you dont.
It would be nice if HRC actually came out and apologize for her remarks, as I value my life I won't be holding my breath on that one but its always nice when people do the right thing and admit their faults. I dont think any of us is expecting her to be perfect but the sign of a true leader is the way they act when their backs are against the wall and the world is watching, my initial assessment of her performance leads me to believe she failed that test.
UPDATE: Full disclosure, I'm an Obama supporter who has tried to write this diary as objectively as possible. I'm purposely not including a tip jar out of respect for the Kennedys, as we all know they are going thru very tough times, so instead of tipping I ask you to just keep them, specially uncle Ted, in your thoughts and prayers. If you like the diary feel free to Rec it. Thanks.
