Sunday Talk - 100 Years Curse

This week, John McSame and the RNC threw a temper tantrum whenver anyone mentioned how he wants to stay in Iraq for 100 years.  The DNC struck hard this week with Dean making TV rounds and the great new '100 years' video all over the place.

McSame's '100 Years' Curse:

Last week on MTP, Howard Dean laid out how to brand McSame with his 100 years in Iraq comment.  It was a masterful performance and IMO the best I have seen Dean on a Sunday show.  
Check it out if you missed it.

He mentioned "100 Years" six times in the 3-minute discussion of McSame.
He mentioned the "Bush-McCain economic plan".
And they debuted the awesome '100 Years in Iraq' ad from the DNC.

Cry Me A River, Part II

There's a simple point behind the 100 years furor -- or perhaps I should say the 100 years GOP apoplexy. Now it's McCain and the Republicans who are adding words like 'fight' and 'war' and the like, which the ad does not use. But what's really driving them nuts is that all you really have to do is line up three words, or two words and a phrase. "Iraq" + "Stay" + "100 years". As Hillel might have said, all the rest is commentary. And as most voters would say, none of it really matters.

He said it. And more importantly, he means it.
