Hillary is going to force the V.P. position...

The only logic to the Clinton's action has to be a power grab for the VP position....
I know, I know many of you don't want to hear this but I think it is almost inevitable. The record numbers that the Democrats are turning out will not be ignored within political circles and amongst the Superdelegates. The Clintons and their advisors are smart enough to do the math and realize its over for 2008. The Clintons also realize they are a brand name, they have a huge organization, and they will wait 8 years to take the whitehouse. They are professional politicians.
I know this notion doesn't sit well with many of you, but I don't know if Obama has much of a choice. All of this ranting and raving about Hillary trying to pursuade the Superdelegates is not about taking the Presidency its about posturing and power. With the powers Dick Chenney has claimed as a V.P. Hillary could have.
This will play many ways into the GOP strategy. It will definately rally the GOP base but it will also impair Obama's message of change. How can you portray a message of change by choosing a Washington insider as a Vice President? Secondly, will placing Hillary on the ticket rally the GOP base?
Fortunately our trump card is Grampy McBush and he's still not liked within the far far right wing of the party. Would they come out. I suspect McCain will have to choose someone who defies his own message of being a Mavrick to have a shot at the Whitehouse appointing a neocon to the V.P. slot.
Objectively, both parties are divided in their own way. Our trump card is the biggest failure our country has seen, sitting in the Whitehouse pretending to know what he's doing. He's still and will be the albatrose around the GOP's neck and it's gonna get ugly for them in this next election...
I hope Obama and Michelle can sleep with one eye opened will Hill and Bill lurching around the Whitehouse...
It's gonna get interesting....
Update: Don't kill me, I'm just the messenger. I don't like Hillary very much either but it may be somthing we have to swallow. I wrote this for interesting food for thought and to prepare for a possibility. I agree with 95% of the comments you guys are posting. It sucks but its reality. The Clintons are still very powerful in the party and have a huge base. They want a return on their investment. This is politics, plain and simple...
I'm hoping she'll settle for a cabinet post....
