Just like the laughably ridiculous suspects entrapped by the hilaroiusly inept Royal Canadian Mounted Police, more apparently mentally challenged clowns have been ensnared by law enforcement agencies dealing with too little to do and too much money to spend.
"MIAMI, Florida (CNN) -- Seven men concocted a plot to "kill all the devils we can," starting by blowing up Chicago's Sears Tower, according to charges in a federal indictment revealed Friday...."
Indeed the lack of real terrorists has led to the invention of a new category of suspect: the "aspirational" terrorist:
Because these fools had no money, no arms, no plans, in fact, nothing but the fungus between their toes, "At a Justice Department news conference Friday in Washington, Deputy FBI Director John Pistole described their plan as "more aspirational than operational."
Like the witchunts of yesteryear, the chief victims in this bogus War on Terror will be the socially disenfranchised and mentally ill. They will be charged on the same nonevidentiary basis as witches once were, for having a pactum implicitum with the Devil.
If after billions of dollars, and millions of votes, the best police have netted in this War on Terror is a motley crew of plainly incompetent and potentially mentally ill skid row inhabitants to act as windown dressing, then perhaps we ought to re-examine the overblown fear mongering advanced in the name of budgets and police power and ask for a real apprasial of the threat posed to this our Western Civilization by this comic band of hapless clowns.
It begs the question as to who poses the greatest threat to our liberal democractic life: kooks in pajamas or underemployed fear-mongering police state fascists with a taste for a brand of torture and murder as American as apple pie!
