Why Clinton is important..right now!

Tue Jun 03, 2008 at 06:42:13 PM PDT

Pardon the brief dairy but I'm doing chores and watching CNN.

I always wondered how this would go down.

Hillary came out with nothing but praise for Sen. Obama and continued to praise him.

I think she might legitimize him, but for the love of God I don't get why she keeps harping about this "popular vote" hogwash.

Her job is now to hand over her Base to Sen. Obama.  It's not to keep harping on the popular vote.  sigh

Sen. Hillary Clinton, at this moment you should be doing everything to energize your base to get behind Sen. Obama so that we could take this country and steer it back on course.  Sen. Clinton, Sen. Obama will need your help to make sure every American has adequate Health coverage, a paycheck to make ends meet, an end to the debacle in Iraq.  You must ensure that before you end your speech you would have planted the seeds to lead your base into the next generation with the future Pres. Obama.

Ball is in your court Sen. Clinton.  Do the right thing.  Stop harping on this popular vote!

Update:  sigh  Good God...it's like a bad Horror movie.  She just refuses to go away.  Do we have "battered wife" syndrome?  We keep hoping and wishing that Hillary changes and does the right thing...but it never happens.

Update II:  CNN's DG might have just said it best when he emphasized that Hillary said, "I'm leading 18,000,000 people".  Basically telling the Democrats that Hillary has her base and the Democrats will respect her.

I used to think she's developed a very George Bush attitude, but I might have been wrong.  It's more like a Dick Cheney type of attitude.  She sets the rules and she tells us what we can and cannot do!

Then there's this:  Newsweek's Howard Fineman just said on MSNBC at 8:35pm Eastern that the Clinton campaign is demanding that Hillary be offered the VP position, which she will then decline, and then Fineman quotes the Clinton campaign as saying "don't you dare offer it to another woman."
