Tonight on Larry King, King asked about the VP search and Obama evaded telling of his picks but he did tell of the qualities he is looking for in a potential VP.
Basically his VP will be someone like him and embodies those ideals that he believes his campaign runs on.
He specifically said that this person much embody change and must be in alignment with his core ideals. This person must be willing to be a co-pilot in cleaning up Washington and setting up a bipartisian atmosphere in his administration.
That cuts out a lot of people from the list. A whole lot of people.
So who does it leave? Who has most of those qualities that Obama says he's looking for?
I think it's between Kaine, Edwards, and Sebulius(sp?) off of that criteria alone. I would say it was Mark Warner but he threw his name out of consideration because of his senate race.
But this tells us that he wants someone of similiar nature to himself and the way he operates. So that means he isn't going for someone who is strong in areas he is weak but someone that compliments his good points. That gives us a platform in which to judge the candidates that are being brought up for consideration.
