Beginning French for Kossacks: Intro Diary

Bonjour les ami(e)s! I am starting a new series intended to teach interested Kossacks the basics of the French language.  This series will have 20 chapters with one chapter to be covered each Friday.   The focus here will not be to learn "perfect" French, but to rather to share with you some tips and tricks that I have learned over the years that will give you the courage to speak, and most importantly, to be understood in French. The comment section will be used to practice your lessons with other French speakers who have volunteered to help.
