Are you interested in getting paid to talk and write about sex?
The Woodhull Freedom Foundation and Federation (www.woodhullfoundation.org) strives through research, advocacy, and public education to affirm sexual freedom as a fundamental human right. We address laws, government policies, and private practices that restrict sexual freedom and discriminate against people because of their consensual sexual expression. The Foundation addresses these issues through research and public education, while the Federation conducts strategic advocacy campaigns.
Woodhull intends to launch a sexual freedom "InfoNet" that will attempt to counter, at least to some extent, the vast right-wing propaganda and disinformation machine in the area of sexual freedom issues. In cooperation with other national and international organizations, we will coordinate a network of academic experts, legal pros, religious scholars, and political thinkers who will respond to faulty media reports, flawed research, unenlightened government edicts, etc. In effect, we are trying to create an analogue to www.mediamatters.org that will monitor the public discourse on all matters pertaining to sexual freedom.
To carry out this project, we intend to hire a blogger/webmaster to help coordinate the InfoNet. Woodhull is based in Washington, D.C. However, some staff and Board members reside in other cities, so D.C. residency is not an absolute requirement.
If you are interested in the position...and who wouldn't be interested in getting paid to talk and write about sex all day...please send me your vitae and contact information.
