McCain compares Osama bin Laden and Petraeus. Odd choice, that.

He's smirking, but at least not with the bared-teeth grin he gives when talking about following bin Laden to the gates of hell.

Obama regains some ground by pointing to the absence of Al Qaeda in Iraq prior to the US invasion, defining the separate issues here. He perhaps goes a bit deep into the weeds talking about poppy crops, but he's certainly the thoughtful leader-type on the stage.
