Today, the Senate voted to construct a 370-mile long, triple-layer fence on the U.S./Mexico border.
At a time when our government spies on its own innocent citizens. When it willfully and repeatedly violates its own constitution. When it imprisons thousands without charge, trial or legal representation. When it plants propaganda in the "free" press. When it inserts terror into every speech and policy it pursues. When it kidnaps and tortures detainees. When it conquers countries that pose no threat to anyone with Blitzkrieg-like "Shock and Awe." When it threatens invasion on others. When it lumps people into two camps - traitors or patriots.
When our government is doing all these things, we're going to build a real-life, Iron Curtain-style barrier on the border?

Anybody see a pattern here?
It's so reassuring to know that Republican Senator Jeff Sessions consulted governmental policy guru/poet Robert Frost on this authoritarian, fascist action:
Construction of the barrier would send "a signal that open-border days are over. ... Good fences make good neighbors, fences don't make bad neighbors." He said border areas where barriers already exist have experienced economic improvement and reduced crime.
If that's the case, Jeff Sessions surely must've been pissed when the world went to Hell back in the 80s. You know, the day the Berlin Wall fell?
It's time for all Republicans to join me as I stand up and denounce the Great Satan, "Damn you, Ronald Reagan! Damn you! You tore down that wall!"
