  • Think Progress notes that McCain campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds was on MSNBC proudly noting that Todd Palin is a stay-at-home-dad. McCain supporter John Hagee has something to say about that.

    "You're too lazy to work and support your children. I'm talking about men. You call yourself Mr. Mom. God calls you a bum. St. Paul says you are worse than an infidel. Let me look you right in the eye and tell you that hell is your future home if all you do is sit on your backside and let your wife support you in your life."

  • High school students in St. Paul, MN are being being warned against any plans to stage a RNC protest via a walk-out.

    St. Paul Police Chief John Harrington told reporters Thursday that police are in contact with school administrators to discourage a walkout on the fourth and final day of the RNC. He hopes student who wish to protest will wait until after school.

    Parents received a recorded message Wednesday night from the Harding High School principal saying students who leave school in a walkout will be punished.

    “Last week, Virginia’s Montgomery County, home to Virginia Tech, issued a press release regarding proper protocol for college students registering to  vote. In interviews with Inside Higher Ed Tuesday, it was described by turns as “unsubstantiated,” “chilling,” and (more generously) as not “incredibly  encouraging or friendly.”
