Daily Kos TV Beta Test Thread

Since posting the first video from Daily Kos TV beta earlier this week, we've been working hard at fixing the bugs that have been reported. This biggest issue was that for a number of people, the video stopped playing at some point in the clip and would not continue.
We've now tweaked several settings which we think should resolve most issues that people have had with playback, but to be sure, we need to put the fixes to the test -- and to do do that, we need your help.
If you've got a few minutes to spare, it would be a huge help if you'd be willing to play at least one of the following clips from start to finish (which will take 10 minutes if all goes well, though you needn't actually watch the screen the time) and report back to us whether or not it played (especially if it didn't play).
Here's the information that would be useful to know (in descending order of importance):
- Which video are you reporting on (first or second). Did the video play for you, and if not, when did it crash?
- What is the speed of your connection?
- What browser do you use, including version number?
- What OS do you use, including version number?
- How many cores does your CPU have and what speed are they?
Here are the videos to test. They are identical, except one is higher bandwidth than the other.
First, here's a medium bandwidth version of the video (if you can only test one, test this one):
Second, here's a high bandwidth version of the same video. For many people, this video won't play all the way through without pausing to rebuffer, but as long as it continues after buffering, then things are working as they should. (This video is meant to stress a connection. We'd rarely if ever post a video at this bitrate.)
If you are able to watch both clips, a great bonus question would be: did you notice a difference in video quality?
Thanks in advance for your time and your feedback!
