Ahh good, it's not just black people that Chip Saltsman hates...

We all know and love former Tennessee GOP Chair Chip Saltsman as the guy who distributed the CD with the song "Barack the Magic Negro". Overlooked in the hoopla over that racist song was another song on that CD -- The Star Spanglish Banner:

It's nice seeing two of the top candidates for the RNC chairmanship show their true colors. Chip Saltsman openly mocks blacks and Latinos. Katon Dawson admits he became a Republican because he was forced to go to school with black kids during desegregation. Saltsman and Dawson personify the kind of disdain for our nation's pluralistic diversity that has relegated their party to rump regional status.

Of particular interest to Saltsman, the right-wing Center for Immigration Studies has just released a report stating that Latino voters don't really matter.

The size of the Latino voting population should be kept in perspective alongside other subsets of the electorate. An estimated 11.8 million voters were of Latino ancestry, compared with 17 million African Americans, 19.7 million veterans, 23.6 million young people, 45 million conservatives, and 34 million born-again white Christians.

So Saltsman, please keep mocking the largest growing demographic in the United States according to the US Census Bureau.

The Latino population, already the nation's largest minority group, will triple in size and will account for most of the nation's population growth from 2005 through 2050. Hispanics will make up 29% of the U.S. population in 2050, compared with 14% in 2005.

And yeah, keep putting all your eggs in the non-brown population:

The non Hispanic white population will increase more slowly than other racial and ethnic groups; whites will become a minority (47%) by 2050.

Sure, it'll be hard to win elections without becoming more tolerant of brown Americans, but it's much easier to remain ideologically pure by remaining very white and male. And really, if you start accepting brown people into the GOP in significant numbers, you won't be able to distribute CDs with "Barack the Magic Negro" and "The Star Spanglish Banner" because everyone will want you to be all PC and shit. Did you see how poor Dawson had to quit his whites-only country club last month? This ain't the America you guys used to believe in.

So stick to your guns! Be proud of who you are and what your party represents! Never back down!

Because as a Democrat, I want my side to keep winning elections.

Update by SusanG: And unapologetic to the bitter end, Saltsman drops out of the contest for the chairmanship of the RNC, according to the Nashville Post, which has published a letter he penned to the voting membership of the RNC, thanking recipients for "your passion for our party and for the principles that make it great."
