According to
secrecy news, General Schoomaker wrote a
memo that he requested be passed "to all army leaders." He warns:
"Some soldiers continue to post sensitive information to internet websites and blogs, e.g., photos depicting weapon system vulnerabilities and tactics, techniques, and prodedures. Such OPSEC violations needlessly place lives at risk and degrade the effectiveness of our operations."
He also goes on to say "the enemy" is a "pro" at finding these blogs and using the information to their advantage. I wonder if he is trying to keep stuff like this from getting stateside. (the link is sick and disgusting so if you're sensitive or don't want to see this kind of nastiness, please do not go to the link)
Thanks to paper tigress for the Schlock site worse than Abu Ghraib diary a few days back.
He mentions that the soldiers need to be "trained" better concerning this issue. I'm sure he really means they need to be disciplined better. What do you think of this?
