Las Vegas Review-Journal:
CARSON CITY -- Nearly half of Nevadans have had enough of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid as the powerful Democrat heads into his re-election campaign, a new Las Vegas Review-Journal poll finds.
About a third of the state's voters would re-elect Reid if the 2010 election were held today, according to the poll, but 45 percent say they would definitely vote to replace him. Seventeen percent would consider another candidate.
The poll, conducted last week by Mason-Dixon, also showed surprising popularity for Republican politicians. Republican Senator John Ensign had a fav/unfav rating of 53/18 and GOP congressman Dean Heller was at 30/15, while President Obama was at 55/30 and Reid was 38/50.
Reid's office told TPM they weren't concerned by the poll:
Sen. Reid has never put a lot of weight in polls. And polls by the Review-Journal are consistently out of line with other polls. The primary number he's worried about is Nevada's 10.4% unemployment rate and that's why he's focused on fixing the economy and creating jobs in Nevada.
