I'm working with a number of local comic book artists here in Minnesota to produce the first political biography of Michele Bachmann. It will (of course) be done in comic book form. Her insane charges and lies lend themselves well to visual representation. I have some panels reproduced below in this diary.
And you can read one of the strips (for free) on line at the City Pages website. And here's the link:

The City Pages is "the free alternative newspaper" distributed here in Minneapolis/St. Paul (by the Village Voice newspaper chain, I think.) They're one of the few local papers willing to print the fact that Bachmann is WA-hoooga-hoogah-hoogah-b'dip-b'dip-b'dip, you know, woooo.... (twirls finger around the side of his temple...)
Next: here is a shot from the first page of the City Pages strip:
Isn't...that...lovely? Here's another one:
The strip is an article that documents one her first insane conspiracy theories, publicly announced shortly after she was elected to the state government. The strip then goes on to explain why she is able to get elected to even higher office, after announcing these insane conspiracy theories.
Here's the link again, if you want to read the entire strip. If you do, come back and let me know what you think:

And... I've engaged a whole bunch of Minnesota comic book artists and inkers to produce a series of comic books this summer--the complete political bio of Michele Bachmann. This comic strip you're reading is related to that, a sort of a preview.
The other thing is: I want to advertise this comic book on the Kos when it comes out(and by that, I mean pay to advertise.) But I don't have those big SEIU dollars to pay for an ad. I looked at the Kos materials regarding advertising here. Anybody have any experience with that, so maybe they have some advice for me on the best and most economical way to run an ad with a small image from the comic book?
