There's been a lot of talk about anti-Semitism in the wake of the Holocaust Museum shooting, and justifiably so.
But it's also important to point out that James von Brunn was an equal opportunity hater. He may have targeted a museum primarily focused on a Jewish experience, but he ended up killing an African-American man.
As the grandson of a Holocaust survivor -- and the great-grandson of a Holocaust victim -- I know that one of the most important lessons of the Holocaust is to rise up against this kind of hatred wherever it crops up, whomever it targets -- whatever their race, creed, nationality, or sexual orientation might be.
