Votes:
There will be no roll call votes on Friday, July 17.
Committee events of note:
- Fri., 7/17, 9:30am. House Financial Services Committee: Markup of House Resolution 591, requesting that the President transmit to the House of Representatives all information in his possession relating to certain specific communications with and financial assistance provided to General Motors Corporation and Chrysler LLC.
- Fri., 7/17, 10am. House Energy & Commerce Committee: H.R. 3200, The America's Affordable Health Choices Act Of 2009 Markup, Day 2
- Fri., 7/17, 10am. House Financial Services Committee:Industry Perspectives on the Obama Administration’s Financial Regulatory Reform Proposals
The Senate is mercifully out of session today, but appropriations work continues on the House floor. Also mercifully out of session: the Senate Judiciary Committee. That leaves you free to watch the other committee happenings, whether it's the continuation of the markup of the House health care reform legislation, or the Financial Services Committee's continuing look at regulatory reform and the auto bailouts. But I really do suggest looking in on the health care markups. Slinkerwink will be. Firedoglake will be. HCAN will be. You should, too.
