Apparently Mika got up this morning with the intent of doing a Rev Wright Coverage as it related to the Professor Gates situation. She seem to be fully on board in wanting to believe what ever Sergeant James Crowley wrote in his report and as equally ready not to believe Professor Gate's account of what took place. Now in my personal feelings, this was a situation that got out of control but Mika and Barnicle had another goal in mind and that was to promote a negative conversation on race that eventually back fired. And thank god for Carlos Watson and even Harold Ford, oh and do not let me forget Eugen Robinson, who seemed to be the most heated by this situation but the person who really seemed to silence Mika and Barnicle was Dylan Ratigan; who hit Mika with racial profiling facts and statistics that she didn't want to take into account or acknowledge because it would have taken away from the coverage she was trying to promote and before the show was over she appeared to be a beaten woman. She even invited Miami Police Chief Johnt Timoney for back-up but he refused to be pulled into this controversy she was trying to escalate.
Did she actually think she could have a one-sided conversation and not be called out on it, did she not think she would get emails on her subjective perspective and get this Mika, not everyone who is disturbed by your insensitivity to the history of this situation is black; I expected this type of thinking from Mike Barancle who said a couple of months back while substituting for Chris Matthews on Hardball that the reason blacks are not living in the suburbs with white people and remain poor is because they are teenage drops out having babies but Mika appeared to want to create news, what was she bored with health care and need it something else to sink her teeth into. Well Mika before you go into a subject make sure you know the history of the people that it involves and there was no better example than watching the View yesterday, when Barbara Waters thought she was going to cut short Sherri Shepherd on this particular conversation she was so clearly passionate about but Sherri stood her ground and Barbara Waters looked deflated just as you did by the end of Morning Joe; And again Mika, know the subject of what you are talking about and then next time you won't appear to become completely unglued when the only person you have supporting your direction of the conversation is Mike Barncile.
PS: You should have followed their lead:
.
Willie briefly spoke on this subject without leaning one way or the other
Andrea Mitchell and Chuck Todd seem to understand that they wouldn't know what racial profiling would feel like and really didn't want to weigh in. Chuck Todd looked like he wanted to talk health care and was really perturbed that he was being brought into this type of conversation.
