Governors all over the country are getting hammered by the bad economy and budget woes, but Gibbons (with investigators swirling all over his office) is in a special kind of pain. 17 percent? That's almost Blagojevich levels.
As for the hypocritical adulterer, who has been going around trying to apologize all over the state, people ain't buying. Less than half of Republicans have a favorable opinion of Ensign, and only a quarter of independents do.
He may think he's running for reelection in 2012, but he won't. He'll suffer the same fate Sen. Jim Bunning did this year -- pushed out by a GOP that'll work hard to dry up his sources of money.
