Another day, another poll.
Rasmussen. 1/11. Likely voters. MoE 3%.
Martha Coakley (D) 49
Scott Brown (R) 47
Last week, Rasmussen found Coakley with 50% and Brown with 41%; that's not a direct trendline, though, because this time around he included a third-party candidate.
The overall story remains the same: Turnout turnout turnout, and Republicans look more motivated. Coakley and Brown have comparable favorability -- 58% of likely voters have a favorable opinion of Coakley, and 59% see Brown favorably. But Brown has 88% of Republicans locked up while Coakley only gets 77% of Democrats.
In other news:
Turnout will be key, and personal contact is the best way to get people to turn out to vote. If you have family or friends in Massachusetts, get them out to the polls to vote for Coakley. If you're in the state, you can go to one of the Coakley campaign's events. If you want to make calls from out of state, casperr has instructions.
