Some information I found in an AP article on the Yahoo business page really put into context, for me anyway, the Fox "News" (sic) effort to propagandize the US media market with the goal of a US-led invasion.
..
a Saudi investment group headed by "Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, a nephew of the Saudi king and who was listed last year by Forbes as the world's 22nd richest person," is" one of the biggest stakeholders in Rupert Murdoch's News(sic) Corp."

this rather long link is an update to the original AP story- as the Yahoo news story is no longer available

Previously Unknown Context for Fox "News"(sic) push for Iraq War
Noam Chomsky, the guy who my screen name is a rip-off, er, homage to, once said that the real news is in the business section of the paper. The business section is most read by the advertisers who primarily fund the paper, and they expect it to be useful and accurate. Chomsky said that while information in the business section was not presented in a manner that would inflame the public, a reasonably smart person who was paying attention could glean quite a bit about the world.
As a reasonably smart person, I am familiar with the "how" of Fox "News"(sic)’s push for war in Iraq, through the easily referenced on youtube documentaries Outfoxed and Weapons of Mass Deception, not to mention Murdoch’s own admission at a German media conference that Fox "News"(sic) pretty much propagandized the US into the Iraq war- (citation? Anyone?).
But I was never sure about the "why" until I read an article in the Yahoo business section that stated a Saudi investment group headed by "Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, a nephew of the Saudi king and who was listed last year by Forbes as the world's 22nd richest person," is" one of the biggest stakeholders in Rupert Murdoch's News(sic) Corp."

So lets review
Most of the 9-11 Hijackers were Saudi Nationals.
Outfoxed references a study that showed the majority of Fox "News" (sic) viewers misidentified the perpetrator of 9-11 as Iraqi, Saddam Hussein. (Conducted, I believe by the group FAIR).
One of the major owners/investors in Fox "News" (sic)’s parent company are members of Saudi Royal family.
Is it me, or was Saddam Hussein’s biggest mistake not investing in Murdoch’s News (sic) corps.
NOTE: the use of (sic) in the above article was chosen to reflect the fact that the Fox Corporation routinely misuses the term "News" in their corporate branding efforts, and media commentators that do not publicly recognize that the content of Fox owned media outlets cannot be accurately labeled as "News," do so at their own peril.
