Randian teabagger galore, corporate lawyer David Harmer, has lots of extreme ideas. He's lost races for Congress in 2 districts in 2 states; now his Wall Street-bankrolled campaign hopes to buy a Congressional seat in the Bay Area.
Funny problem with ideologues:
They're just too extreme.
He even has the gall to twist & steal the title of one of the most beautiful songs ever.
Teach Our Children Well
ABOLISH THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS
by David Harmer
Kids aren't fungible products extruded from a factory somewhere. They come to school with an infinite variety of aptitudes, backgrounds, challenges, and possibilities. These require a commensurate variety of approaches to learning -- variety only a free market can provide.
Ah, yes. Private schools for all.
May the richest child win!
...we should reconsider where ultimate responsibility for schooling anyone's children resides. Having fathered my children, I am responsible for their welfare. Providing for their education is my duty, not anyone else's.
And after that, maybe we should try private fire departments! I hear that is working out just peachy!

The Choice
• Jerry McNerney is fighting hard to create jobs, get the economy back on track and stand up for our country's veterans. Corporate lawyer David Harmer, who worked for a debt collection agency and a Wall Street bank, puts his interests and those of his banker friends ahead of Californians.
• Harmer is a former banking executive with Providian Financial, Washington Mutual, and the taxpayer-bailed out JPMorgan Chase. Just three months after JPMorgan received a $25 billion bailout, Harmer received nearly $160,000 in severance pay and bonuses. He then collected $2,395 in unemployment compensation from the state of California
Harmer is a right wing ideologue who has advocated for the elimination of the Department of Education, privatizing Social Security, and making cuts to Medicare and Medicaid.
Just a few days before the catastrophic BP oilpocalypse, Harmer went on the record both advocating more offshore drilling, but signed a pledge to oppose holding the big oil giants accountable for spills and instead stick taxpayers with the bill.
He would fit in nicely with Joe "I'm sorry, BP" Barton. The modern GOP is so predictable. Socialism is bad unless it benefits giant corporations.
Not only are Harmer's ideas extreme, but his supporters are extremely violent and physically abusive toward women. Some of you might recall this video from a rally with Michael "Poochie" Steele and Mr. Harmer.
Apparently, dissent is good only when it opposes a Democrat. If you want to protest a teabagger, you should be beaten, surrounded, and silenced immediately.
Harmer is running for Congress for the 3rd time, in the 3rd different district in 2 states. Let's make sure he fails once again, so we never see his extreme ideological views spouted on a national stage again.

We have to defend solid Democrats who sit in Republican leaning districts.
Rep. Jerry McNerney has a proven track record of supporting our troops, investing in clean energy, and cracking down on corporate outsourcing.
Seldom is the choice between 2 candidates clearer.
Help this solid Dem earn re-election against the most dishonest and extreme wing of the 2010 TGOP.
If we can defend seats in PVI R+1 districts like this, the color orange will be reserved for this website, not the Speaker of the House.
