I admit that I first started following the Wacky Races, AKA the Alaska Senate Race, because of an abiding interest in seeing Sarah Palin fall into a seething pit of snakes of her own making.
However, for sheer entertainment value it beats The Osbournes into a cocked hat. Joe Miller looks to be going down in a blaze of inglory.

There have been rumours and counter rumours, accusations and denials about Joe Miller's past employment as an attorney for the Fairbanks North Star Borough.
Joe Miller, Senate nominee (R) AK, said he was drawing a line in the sand and would not discuss his personal life or ex employment after being asked some awkward question about his previous employment as attorney for the Fairbanks North Star Borough.
Unfortunately for Joe, he may have drawn a line in the sand but other people haven't.
There was Jim Whitaker, the former borough mayor from 2003 through 2009, who said.....

"What I was informed of at the time was that there were several borough computers that were used to send what they thought were proxy votes for the purpose of voting on the ouster of Randy Ruedrich at the Republican convention," Whitaker said.
Whitaker said the borough employees whose computers Miller used didn't know he was doing so. He said one of them "informed the acting borough attorney that something was amiss with her computer." He said borough technicians investigated and found that the computers had been used to send information to the Republican Party.
Now, ironically, Miller has been unwittingly dropped in the crapper by his own father, Rex Miller.
Rex senior had a conversation with Mike Rostad, a longtime freelance religion and personalities columnist for the Kodiak Daily Mirror and a Republican and Tea Party activist in Kodiak. Mike Rostad then sent an email to 10 people detailing the said conversation.
One of the recipients then sent the email to.......well.....lots of people.
For the full story and a copy of the email, go to

"One noon hour, on his own time at the borough, Joe participated in an online poll voting against Randy," Rostad wrote in the e-mail, recounting the Thursday morning conversation he said he had with Rex Miller. "He used four office computers in the office to do it, thinking this was his chance to boost numbers to get rid of Randy. He emptied the cache files on the computers so the users wouldn’t know what he had done."
Mike Rostad is none too pleased that this email became public........
Rostad did not return a phone call from the News-Miner on Friday, but in an e-mail response to the newspaper, he stated the e-mail "summarized" his conversation with Rex Miller. He said the News-Miner should contact Rex Miller through his son’s campaign for further information.
Miller's camp are still hiding behind their line in the sand.....
"Joe’s statement from earlier this week speaks for itself: ‘For the final three weeks of this campaign, I am going to talk about the critical issues facing our nation and my ideas to turn things around.’" DeSoto wrote in an e-mail to the News-Miner.
Interestingly, The Anchorage Daily News has joined The Alaska Dispatch and the Fairbanks Daily Newsminer in a lawsuit.
http://community.adn.com/...
The ADN filed papers in Fairbanks Superior Court on Friday (additional document here ) to join a lawsuit filed earlier in the week by the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner that seeks to make public some personnel files of Senate candidate Joe Miller from his time working for the Fairbanks North Star Borough. The Alaska Dispatch filed a separate lawsuit seeking similar material. The suits have been combined.
One of the many, many comments in the ADN comments section..........
Joe "Toto" Miller said he had no problem with people looking at his records...until they actually tried to look at the records.
Joe "Toto" Miller sayas he is against unnecessary litigation.
This litigation would be unnecessary if Joe "Toto" Miller did not have Palin attorney Tom Van Flein trying to prevent release of public records.
Must mean that Joe "Toto" Miller has shares the same concept of "open and transparent" government as Palin does.
Must mean that Joe "Toto" Miller's coverup is all about trying to make sure that emails between he on Fairbanks Borough equipment and Palin on state equipment are kept hidden- at least until after the election.
Good luck with that, Toto.
p.s. I have no idea what is meant by "toto", is it an American thing?
Not wishing to make this too long, but Joe went on the Kudlow Report yesterday and totally ignored this whole brouhaha when asked why the polls were tightening. Idiot.
