Can someone explain to me, why the person I worked my butt off for, has not mentioned the little news story that is all the rave in blog land? "The Downing Street Memo." Also, why is it the main stream media is not hot and heavy on this story like the Water Gate story of the 70s? Let ABA tell you why. ----------Read on----------->
This story came out in early May, and it was put on the back burner. By doing that, it gave Carl Rove, and the Bush Neo-Con spin machine time to attack it from all angles. So far we have heard that it was out right lies made up by liberal organizations hell bent on destroying the Bush administration, and up to, being a fabricated story from the British press, to bring down Blair and Bush.
John Kerry, said, on June 2, 2005 that he would take this to Washington, and push the issue. Well so far, according to an article in The Boston Herald, he has said nothing. Maybe he went to the wrong Washington. Maybe he went to Washington Pa. Of course, that has t be it! Right now he is setting up at Shorty's Hotdogs, telling everyone about the memo.
All kidding aside, This non-act by Kerry, along with the speed at which he conceded, and the non-combatant stance he took, during the campaign tells me one thing, he and G.W. are cut from the same cloth. What we are looking at, is a two party system, with one ideology, and to me this is disheartening.
If the Democrats have the peoples best interest at heart, they would make sure that the Downing Street Memo was at the fore front, not Missing college student in Aruba, or the lost Boy Scout. Please don't miss-understand, these are tragic, and I truly hope the best for al involved. But why 24 hour news coverage? The "Memo" is of national importance.
So please write, e-mail, and call you Congressman, and Senator, and tell them this is important, and they should keep the heat on the administration.
