I was going to do a diary on
this story about the latest evils of Wal-Mart, but someone beat me to it.
But it made me wonder about another question. Where do we shop? Because we all need things, one way or another, but we have a lot of options and criteria (price, quality, quanitity, social responsibility) to consider.
In fact, even when trying to "do the right thing" there are many factors to consider. Do you support a business in your neighborhood? What about one that has a progressive business model, but is not in your neighborhood, but is available by catalog or over the internet? Is shopping at a "better" big box store allowable? What if your local storekeeper turns out to be a bigot?
Lots of variables involved. You can take the poll, but if you'd like, it might be more fun to explain your shopping patterns.
