I wouldn't have asked a few months ago. How could you ask that? I mean this scrappy little political movement explodes off the Internet with the help of Al Gore, turns into a major phenomenon with lots of news coverage, and seems ready to reconfigure politics, media, and all sorts of other community institutions. Oh, yeah, that's why...
Lately MoveOn hasn't been, well, moving so easily. The whole "Bush in 30 Seconds" contest came down to a simple "no" by CBS during the Super Bowl. Gore makes yet antoher major address, this time on Bush's abyssmal environmental policy. Nobody cares.
And their recent move... censure? That's really not going to happen. It SHOULD but it's not going to. So what's an organization like this doing put its considerable resources behind such a quixotic goal? Is this starting to remind anyone else of a "Britney/Madonna" moment?
