Just a quick follow-up to my earlier post about my plan to start a mini-campaign exposing my Representative's voting on the insurance-expanding, deficit-reducing health care bill.
The ads are now live:
See that first link at the top, where a lot of people assume is the most relevant story? That's my ad, saying that Rep. Marchant voted in favor of unchallenged insurance rate hikes. It links to a simple, dry news story about the HCR changes.
I'm still trying to find out if there's an annual limit on how much I can spend on these ads. Right now, I have a pitiful budget of $1 / day, but my cursory research implies that I won't be able to spend more than $250 on it, anyway, and I might have to stop 90 days before election day. Can anyone tell me more?
For the meantime, though, I'm excited to see that Google approved my campaign and that these are showing up. I encourage you to start your own AdWords campaign (or use Yahoo's service, or whatever). Here are more details on what I'm trying to do.
