The false equivalencies, at least in the national press, abound as Chuck Todd and Joe Scarborough both claim that Mark Kirk's lie about a receiving a non-existent military award is a "Blumenthal" problem. Never mind that the New York Times piece on Blumenthal was highly problematic, with cherry-picked and truncated excerpts of speeches.
But hey, it's good news that MSNBC isn't ignoring the Kirk lies. But I think they're going to need to change this chyron:
Politico's Mike Allen and Joe Scarborough hit Kirk pretty hard.
With all the MSNBC team jumping on board, what's Tweety going to do? Meanwhile, the local news gets it right. "Mark Kirk is caught in a lie."
