Cross posted at Dirigo Blue
A day after GOP gubernatorial candidate [Paul LePage dropped a "bullshit" http://www.youtube.com/... on MPBN reporter Josie Huang, Alan Brewer, managing partner of GGDirect, a marketing firm in Portland, tweeted:
In most races, in most places, an anti-LePage spot would have been cut overnight, on air before morning news shows.
Since it is doubtful that any of the other candidates will create such a response, nor that the Maine Democrats or the Democratic Governors Association will, I thought it would be of interest to open it up anyone with the technology and skill to create their own ad.
Here are the rules:
- The contest is open to anyone 18 years old or older.
- The advertisement needs to be that of the person(s) submitting it.
- The work needs to be posted to YouTube, and then the link to it needs to be submitted to me (gerald at dirigoblue dot com). I will create a thread to which I will add each advertisement as they are made known to me.
- Advertisements need to be submitted by 9:00 p.m. Friday, 17 September 2010.
5. The winner will be chosen by votes from readers of Dirigo Blue. A new voting thread featuring all qualifying submissions will be posted after the submission closing deadline, and voting will close at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, 19 September 2010.
- The creators of the advertisement receiving the most votes will receive a highly coveted Dirigo Blue coffee mug. A tie will result in two or more mugs being awarded.
So, have at it you creative folks. I look forward to seeing your work.
