The U.S. Police State is Getting Down to the Wire
Mon Sep 03, 2007 at 06:38:57 PM PDT
You will see some posts – comments - by others that I use to point up what I want to say and why. They are not acknowledged even by screen-name because, in the too-likely event of predictions about martial law coming true, I would not take anyone down with me if I can avoid it, assuming they’re actually that petty. Everything seems to indicate they are, though. I do take it as a certainty that such blogs as this are being surveilled, and people are being traced, recorded and the information held for future reference during roundups of "subversives" who think they still have rights. I believe in what the Constitution of the United States of America says: that my rights are God-given, inherent to me by virtue of having been born human, and I retain those rights, which are truly inalienable, forever, whatever anyone else thinks or prefers or tries to take. I am free forever, whatever the state of my liberty.

Quietly, with little mention in the press, the National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive was signed in May 2007. This directive places all governmental power in the hands of the President in the case of a catastrophic emergency (as defined by him alone). It also allows him to take control of the private and nonprofit sectors. It effectively abolishes the checks and balances built into the Constitution and demolishes the Bill of Rights. This is, of course, necessary to keep us safe in case of a national disaster. The "Unitary Executive" would be able to act quickly and decisively, without any interference from those other two annoying branches of government, slow-moving and contentious as they are.

Who Will Follow Me? [Or my greatest nightmare].
" The enemies of our Constitution were 3000 meters in front of us. They were intent on empire and thirsting for our blood. They sought only to bind our nation of 300 million Americans with the chains of slavery! We were our nation's only hope,in the spearhead, the vanguard, leading the charge against them. I'm in the first column, in the lead tank. I turned around to shout at my fellow compatriots, "Onward! Victory over the enemies of our Republic!" I was stunned with the bitter gall of betrayal, and the sharp sting of defeat...No one was behind me! All but a handful were fleeing the field of battle! I traversed the turret on my tank 180 degrees and fired all of my guns on them. Cowards! Cowards, I screamed! If you will not fight like free men--I will give you the death of cowards!"
It gets better...

Well, there is one thing I can say for Tony Snow; he is certainly the good little Republican lap dog. Too bad he had to sale his soul to the devil in order to get the job he now has.
In what can only be described as disturbing, Mr. Snow this morning in his regular press briefing told the American people that the President does not believe there is a need for Congress anymore. He told us that the President is now our Supreme Ruler and that only he can make the decisions about this country’s future.
Good (Republican) News for the New Year
Tue Dec 26, 2006 at 05:07:59 PM PDT
Tired of bad news from "liberal media types" and moonbat lefty blogs? Wonder why no one ever tells us of all the successes Republican rule of Congress and the White House has brought us over the last few years? Well wonder no more. I'm here to rectify the situation with some good news that Republican politicians have been prevented from pointing out to their constituents because of the vast left wing conspiracy.
For example, did you know that thanks to President Bush's brave and sterling leadership in personally directing the "War on Terror" in Afghanistan, we now have more and better heroin for American junkies? Well, it's all true (via Digby):
Supplies of highly potent Afghan heroin in the United States are growing so fast that the pure white powder is rapidly overtaking lower-quality Mexican heroin, prompting fears of increased addiction and overdoses.

Prison Camps and the Trail of Tears (Conclusions)

- These are my conclusions after “Part 1”:

and “Part 2”:

I almost thought Fox News was responsible for posting some of the information on the web about Native American history. Omission and blatant misleading misinformation such as the soldiers weren’t with the Cherokee on the Trail of Tears. Then who was it that forced the Cherokee to leave their dead relatives on the trail? I also found numbers that were disgustingly off and blame like, “Remember they agreed to this.” The tribal museums, eyewitness accounts, and reports on those eyewitness accounts provide the best information; not Wikipedia or any other “source” that contradicts what really occurred, even if only in parts. The truth still wants to be forgotten by some, I can only speculate as to who they are.

The Legend of the Cherokee Rose.
SOURCE
No better symbol exists of the pain and suffering of the Trail Where They Cried than the Cherokee Rose(pictured at top of page). The mothers of the Cherokee grieved so much that the chiefs prayed for a sign to lift the mother's spirits and give them strength to care for their children. From that day forward, a beautiful new flower, a rose, grew wherever a mother's tear fell to the ground. The rose is white, for the mother's tears. It has a gold center, for the gold taken from the Cherokee lands, and seven leaves on each stem that represent the seven Cherokee clans that made the journey. To this day, the Cherokee Rose prospers along the route of the "Trail of Tears".
Howard Coble and Homeland Detention Camps (NC-06)
Sun Oct 29, 2006 at 07:12:22 PM PDT
A congressman who heads a homeland security subcommittee said on a radio call-in program that he agreed with the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II.
Doesn't that sound horrible? That must have happened a long time ago, right?
Wrong.
FEMA Detention Camps : Are YOU an "Enemy Combatant"?
Wed Oct 18, 2006 at 10:59:30 PM PDT
This is not a new story. In several comments I've read here over the last few weeks some folks have revealed their knowledge of the FEMA DENTENTION CAMPS. Up to now I have not written about this subject, but the combination of being hit with the striking down of habeas corpus in The Military Commissions Act of 2006 and just having read the diary by Major Danby about legislation to give Bush control of the National Guard, I decided I had to write about this issue.
Some of you may already be familiar with the issue, but my suspicion is that many Americans, even those who are somewhat informed on political issues still do not know. So here it is:

Remember Mike McCormack? The man who found the flag at ground zero?
Major Mike McCormack - Medic; specialist in collapsed infrastructure rescue and hazmat
Major Mike McCormick, at the time holding the rank of Captain with the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary Patrol, arrived at Ground Zero about three hours after both towers had collapsed. He worked throughout the first six days of the rescue effort, until it changed from search and recovery to recovery only. While engaged in this work, he found the World Trade Center towers' flag, which was later displayed at the Olympics. Major McCormick now suffers from respiratory illness and gastro-esophageal reflux disease. He was awarded a Congressional Certificate, a thank you letter from the President, and a commendation from Governor Pataki. He was denied coverage by the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund because it asserted that he had not proved that he was there.

Well....Major McCormack YESTERDAY publicly stated that the US has turned into nazi Germany. Why? and why did Federal SWAT teams storm his home? Pay attention-->

Amy Goodman "run" out of FEMA park
Mon Apr 24, 2006 at 08:03:44 PM PDT
It was unbelievable what happened to Amy Goodman of Democracy Now! inside one of the FEMA trailer parks outside of New Orleans.
The people there are not permitted to speak to the press, unless they leave Camp property.
The camp, by the way, is run by a private contractor.
Below the fold is the exchange between Amy, park residents/Katrina refugees, and the stormtroopers in charge.
It's worth reading. Is this our future?

On January 24, 2006 a contract was signed by the Halliburton subsidiary K.R.B. for 385 million dollars for providing temporary detention and processing facilities for Home Land Security. The facilities will be used in the next step in the Bush plan towards martial law. Read on>>>
Satellite Photographs Emerge of Halliburton's American Concentration Camp
Sat Apr 01, 2006 at 06:24:57 AM PDT
The truth is out. The "truthiness" is no longer in doubt. There is a minimum of one confirmed concentration camp built on American soil in rural Wyoming.
Okay, many have heard the rumors, dismissed them as kook theories, believed by nobody, perpetuated by the ABB (Anybody but Bush) crowd or as a topic of interest for the Art Bell and Jeff Rense radio audience.
An undisclosed DHS (Department of Homeland Security) order was placed with DigitalGlobe to photograph the near completed work camp facility only listed by location as "central Wyoming" on the mistakenly published photographs.
DHS accidentally placed these photos on a publicly accessible portion of their website on March 28th and they were pulled within one hour. Fortunately Google had cached the images.
Look Back in Panic: Tyranny in Seed and Full Flower

Wise man Robert Parry and his kindred crew at Consortiumnews.com continue to do yeoman service in detailing the most important -- and most overlooked -- story of our time: George W. Bush's seizure of dictatorial power. Two current articles, by Robert and Nat Parry, lay out the situation with grim clarity: Bush's Mysterious 'New Programs', by Nat, and Robert's An Upside-Down Media. Do yourself a favor -- no, do your duty as a citizen (of the United States or the world), and read them in full.
I've been clanging this same bell -- in my much more obscure and less effective way -- for years now, beginning in late September 2001, with a piece on the inherent dangers of the sweeping powers a spineless Congress granted to Bush in its joint resolution of September 15: a "blank check for tyranny" that Bush has been busy cashing ever since. As I wrote then, just ten days after the terrorist attacks:
