All I heard was a face to face Demand for the truth and no more backing of Bush's failed new order!

All I heard was a face to face Demand for the truth and no more blind backing of Bush's failed new order!
I see Michael Moore has been recieving some attention here but I just want to discuss the truth finally getting some air time.the video which I recommend seeing if you haven't yet is at the end of this story. I had the good fortune last night to catch the interview of Michael Moore by Wolf Blitzer. After a three year hiatus Michael was primed. I was pretty impressed at his performance. He was there to discuss his latest movie "Sicko" He begrudgingly did that but he kept reverting to his movie Fahrenheit 911: and the lies that were told about that movie and he never recieved requested apologies for being right.
I can't really say I have seen either one but I do remember the reviews of Fahrenheit 911 and CNN and Fox amongst others refuting what Michael was saying about 9/11. I thought Mike was on top of the interview and in control. He pointed out that everything he said in Fahrenheit about the WMD and numerous other lies that were trumpeted on major media turned out to be true as many of us have always asserted ourselves.
My Bargain With The Devil

In response to a diary here on Sunday, I watched "Iraq For Sale," on the internet. After I had watched that, I watched "Fahrenheit 9/11" at the same website. I was blown away.
I have a repug friend who is 83 years old. She has always been a repug. She is an avid Faux news watcher. I brokered a deal with her: Faux news shall be my only cable network source of news for 30 days, with the only exception being that I can watch MSNBC from the time I get home from work (5:30 p.m.) until 6:00 p.m. Notice that I still get to access news on the online, as well as Daily Kos. In exchange, I shall bring the DVD of Fahrenheit 9/11 to her home on Sunday and we shall both watch it together.
"I have but one life to give to my country." Thirty days of Faux news – pray for me!
I shall be checking in here regularly for support
A forgotten person to thank

Folks, put on your thinking caps and try and remember the first nationally known person to really put a burr under the saddle of Chimpy and his gang. Think hard.
Love him or hate him, it was Michael Moore.
Fahrenheit 9/11 allowed millions of Americans the chance to discover that they were not alone in feeling something was really, REALLY, wrong in the government and the administration of George W. Bush. More below.
Fahrenheit 9/11 Revisited: Remember the righties squealing?
Mon Sep 11, 2006 at 06:33:48 AM PDT
In reading
kidneystone's diary about the frantic attemptss of ABC trying to avoid being sucked into a vortex of litigation over their slanderous, defamatory and libelous broadcast of "The Path to 9/11," I had a clear, dramatic insight, a moment of
satori almost...
None of this ever happened to Michael Moore.
The details are below...
Unfair-enheit 9/11: new name for ABC movie
Sat Sep 09, 2006 at 01:02:28 PM PDT
That's it, "
Unfair-enheit 9/11". Nicely memorable (I hope), and expressing the truth that "Path to 9/11" really is "conservative Hollywood's" revenge on "Fahrenheit 9/11". (Sort of as "The Da Vinci Code" was revenge for "Passion of the Christ"...) And it has "Unfair" in the title! Blam!!
Rather than consign it to the treacherous waves of Open Thread, I thought I'd put it here. Thanks.
As for comments: these can include praise (or insults) for the idea; ways to spread the meme; and deepening of theme, e.g., maybe some genius out there wants to do a compare/constrast analysis, in depth, about how Michael Moore's film exposed the truth about September 11, while this new ABC/Disney one hides and distorts it.
To paraphrase Obi-Wan: May the Mouse be with you. Hope to hear!
Did ABC Copycat Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11" Promos
Fri Sep 08, 2006 at 01:20:02 PM PDT
If you look at ABC's website,
http://www.abc.go.com , one of the promos is a darkened set of eyes behind an American flag in its promotion of the disgraced miniseries about 9/11. As I remember this, this is eeringly similar to one of the promotions for Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11", in which Moore's eyes are the ones watching. I wonder if there are any legal ramifications for ABC/Disney seemingly trying to copycat Moore's promotion.
Give A Gift To Yourself on Indepdence Day
Tue Jul 04, 2006 at 08:18:38 AM PDT
(Cross-posted at My Left Wing, ePluribus Media and my blog)I lead a busy life. I work a more-than-full-time professional job. I run a household, all of its upkeep, and all of its finances. I volunteer for the Red Cross. I'm politically active. I sing in and run the finaces of an entire funk band. You get the picture. Free time, for me, is at a premium.
This past weekend I did two things that I think were important. I wrote this diary on Saturday. The Daily Kos community extended its grace and compassion to what I had to say, and for that I thank each and every one of you. On Sunday, with a rare hour's worth of down time, I watched Fahrenheit 9/11. Like most (if not all) here, I had seen it before. But it was time to watch it again.
Make the jump.
'Fahrenheit 9/11' Marine killed in Iraq (with update)
Wed Jun 28, 2006 at 09:46:42 AM PDT
Sgt. Raymond J. Plouhar, 30, died in a
roadside bombing in Iraq "while conducting combat operations" in Iraq's volatile Anbar province, according to a Defense Department announcement yesterday.
From the Yahoo news story:
Plouhar, who was stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif., had taken four years off from active duty to serve as a recruiter in Flint after donating one of his kidneys to his uncle. He is seen in the 2004 film [Fahrenheit 9/11] approaching prospective recruits in a mall parking lot.
"It's better to get them when they're in ones and twos and work on them that way," he says in the film.
Plouhar is survived by his wife and two children, age 5 and 9, who live in Arizona.
Junk Lawsuit v. Michael Moore: Shocking new information!
Fri Jun 02, 2006 at 06:34:01 AM PDT
[INTRO UPDATE: If you read nothing else, make sure you read the update at the end of the diary. It's a bombshell!]
Following up on my
diary from yesterday, where I prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the lawsuit filed by Sgt. Peter Damon against Michael Moore this week is 100% Grade A Bullshit, I located the clinching piece of evidence that establishes this as a complete scam.
Another Drudge Embarrassment: Junk Lawsuit Filed Against Michael Moore Debunked
Thu Jun 01, 2006 at 07:07:27 AM PDT
[
INTRO UPDATE: Embarrass Drudge! Keep this diary alive. Drudge has this story as his lead headline today.]
Just when you think the rightwing idiots running this country couldn't get any more despicable, you get a rude awakening.
This week, for those of you who are not familiar with this story, a disabled Iraq war vet, who's brief interview with NBC News in 2003 was used by Michael Moore in Fahrenheit 9/11, filed an $85 million lawsuit against Moore for allegedly taking the interview "out of context" and "misleading" people into thinking that he wasn't in full support of the Iraq war effort.
But, as I will conclusively show, the allegations in this lawsuit are 100% bullshit.
Who is suing Michael Moore...and why?
Thu Jun 01, 2006 at 12:13:08 AM PDT
The
AP wire story seems straightforward: Michael Moore is being sued by an Iraq war vet from Massachusetts who feels his depiction in
Fahrenheit 9/11 falsely portrays him as anti-war.
A veteran who lost both arms in the war in Iraq is suing filmmaker Michael Moore for $85 million, alleging that Moore used snippets of a television interview without his permission to falsely portray him as anti-war in "Fahrenheit 9/11."
Sgt. Peter Damon, a National Guardsman from Middleborough, is asking for damages because of "loss of reputation, emotional distress, embarrassment, and personal humiliation," according to the lawsuit filed in Suffolk Superior Court last week.
But it's never quite that simple, is it? Of course, there's more...
"B" for "Bushetta"? Maybe. And Maybe Not.

I'm writing this for me. So if you are even thinking about "Delete--It's been diaried" jammit up the ol' giggy. I just saw "V for Vendetta." I thought it was an enjoyable movie. Nothing that it alleges, foreshadows or implies is new, different or revealing to me, however, or to anyone else who frequents this site. Is it an important film? Yes. But not in the way one might think.
Michael Moore .... Is One Hell Of A Public Speaker!
Thu Nov 24, 2005 at 05:11:32 AM PDT
Did anyone see Michael Moore on CSPAN the past couple of days?
I have to admit that way back years ago I thought he was just another ego maniac who was a wannabe movie producer. He seemed so sloppy and had that arrogance that turns some folks off at first.
But, this guy is deep. And this man cries tears in many words that he speaks. He portrays more passion for a good human race than most preachers do in church sermons. He's a really simple thinking man who see's through the smoke screen and filters things so that we get the truth.

Cindy and Michael Moore
Mon Aug 29, 2005 at 07:41:57 PM PDT
One thing I don't understand, and even usually liberal pundits like Frank Rich are doing this, is the promotion of this idea that Michael Moore isn't credible. What I mean is that people are saying that they hope Cindy Sheehan doesn't get co-opted by the kooky left-wing operatives out there (i.e. the vast left-wing conspiracy, I guess) and become like Michael Moore. Some are saying she already has, as if this somehow discredits her message, as if her son didn't die, as if you can't raise questions about what noble cause this war in Iraq is being fought for.
Debunking '59 Deceits in Fahrenheit 9/11'
Sun Jul 18, 2004 at 02:33:12 PM PDT
There have been around a quarter-zillion reviews and commentaries about
Fahrenheit 9/11 so far, but all-too-few comprehensive critiques.
For what little my viewpoint is worth, I think Michael Moore is an agitprop genius, respect his approach and love watching his films even when he gets a tad reckless in interpreting some of the facts. As a gun-owner, I enjoyed
Bowling for Columbine immensely, even in those instances when Moore was way off base factually. Likewise, with his latest film, whose greatest success - besides making Michael Eisner look like a fool - is to damage George W. Bush by putting him and his words on screen so much of the time.
Dave Kopel, research director at The Independence Institute, has a very different take. No surprise since the institute is a “market-oriented” organization funded in part by the rightwing
Castle Rock Foundation, a creation of the Coors brewing dynasty based in Golden, Colorado. On July 1, Kopel published a critique called
Fifty-nine Deceits in Fahrenheit 9/11 Whatever else can be said of it, Kopel’s critique is hard-hitting and comprehensive.
On July 5, Kosopolitan
Anton Sirius began debunking Kopel’s analysis in a series of his Diaries. He’s only finished 49 of Kopel’s 59, but even before his task is completed, I think Sirius’s prodigious efforts provide an excellent jumping off point for a real discussion of Moore’s film, as opposed to the undiluted adoration he’s received from some quarters and the excoriation he’s received elsewhere. Here are links to each of Sirius’s Diaries on the subject:
