POLL: Your opinion of terrorist Bill Ayers
Wed May 07, 2008 at 07:40:45 AM PDT
John M. Murtagh describes the nightmare night when terrorists bombed his childhood home:
I still recall, as though it were a dream, thinking that someone was lifting and dropping my bed as the explosions jolted me awake, and I remember my mother’s pulling me from the tangle of sheets and running to the kitchen where my father stood. Through the large windows overlooking the yard, all we could see was the bright glow of flames below. We didn’t leave our burning house for fear of who might be waiting outside. The same night, bombs were thrown at a police car in Manhattan and two military recruiting stations in Brooklyn. Sunlight, the next morning, revealed three sentences of blood-red graffiti on our sidewalk: FREE THE PANTHER 21; THE VIET CONG HAVE WON; KILL THE PIGS.
Doubling Down on Obama: A Gambler's Guide to the Election
Sun May 04, 2008 at 06:39:54 PM PDT
I think its fair to say that as more and more becomes known about Obama, the more and more I become convinced that I'll be able to say I told you so the day after the general election in November.
Obama is a political unknown. He talks a good talk, but can't walk a good walk. He attacks Senator Clinton for attacking him, but he either started it or then begins attacking her, while at the same time saying he's the agent of change. Is it really change when your candidate stoops to the very thing he's supposedly against?
The truth as I see it is that Barack Obama is that Obama is the one who is the fatally flawed candidate. He is the one that Democrats who really want to win the White House need to worry about. With all his talk of change and uniting a supposedly divided America, the truth is that he isn't capable of doing that. He will be painted as the candidate of multiple Americas - Black America, Liberal and Elite America, Taxation, and finally, the un-American.
Betting on him will be like doubling down on a losing hand.
A cult. Yes.
Sun May 04, 2008 at 08:11:45 AM PDT
Ladies and gentlemen, Barack Obama's campaign is a cult. Sure, I will be blasted for this, but this is my last time on the website. (choppy waters). This campaign is a level of extremism that has never been seen before (Obama supporters trampling private property). Obama has prompted something, something fanatical, but political idealism has gotten us dissappointment over and over again. "Hope 08" and "Change" seem to be fairly empty.
Why are we so entranced? Why do we think he is a bridge-builder? Why don't we think. The difference between Hillary and Barack's campaigns are few. Just the lobbyists... So why is everyone on this biased website ready to shoot down anything that happens in Hillary's campaign, even if it is good?
This man, Barack Obama, is not a god. Think, before you fantasize. Bill Clinton was, good, but we had the same expectations of him. Should we have a president who will no doubt, have growing pains?

Listen. I'm a die-hard Clinton supporter. An unapologetic advocate of both Bill and Hillary. For me, the decision as to who to support made by an erstwhile DNC Chairman is of little consequence. I believe both of our candidates will win the General Election. My support of Hillary rests on her diplomatic and health care policies. But what I find absolutely stunning is the RANK hypocrisy that exists on this board.
Hillary, you need to expose Obama for the Liar he is. [UPDATED]
Mon Apr 28, 2008 at 07:25:15 AM PDT
Hillary, time's a waistin and it is time now, right now that you debate Obama in the public media. He has pulled out of his butt some of the most disgusting political weapons I have ever seen. I saw what he was up to in his interview with the Reno Gazette, putting Ronald Reagan, the Democrats and America's worst enemy on a pedestal while excluding and criticizing your husband, you and all the baby boomers. This is one sneaky, conniving and Rovian kind of politician.
However, many of us see that Obama had a deliberate plan to inject race into this campaign and charge anyone related to you with racism, including your husband. Through faxes to CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post, et al, he has charged Bill with injecting race into the results of the South Carolina.
Experience is needed! OBAMA DOES NOT HAVE IT
Tue Apr 22, 2008 at 09:05:11 AM PDT
This diary is for all the people who say that experiences does not matter in the selection for the Democratic Presidential nominee this year, got news for you it does. Some are saying that Hillary Clinton days has first lady in the White House does not count for anything, got news for you it does oh and here is the meaning of the word experience for all those who forgot "knowledge or practical wisdom gained from what one has observed, encountered, or undergone".
Why?

I have belonged to DKos since 2004, under a different name. I loved this place - it was my home on the net. Now it is strange, a unfamiliar place where I no longer belong. I rarely come by now, because of the nastiness to anyone who doesn't subscribe to the group-think.
Here are my questions to all of you. I don't really expect anything other than spam, because I don't think you have a honest answer to any of these questions.
The fraud that is Barry Obama.....
Wed Apr 16, 2008 at 10:31:34 AM PDT
Man I hate to be proven right so often, but I when my gut tells me someone is a fraud it always comes to past. As the masks are slowly removed from Barry Obama, we see what will be a disaster if Obama is the nominee.
Die Hillary Balboa
Wed Apr 16, 2008 at 03:49:49 AM PDT

Wishful thinking? nah. That's just German for "The Hillary Balboa", the working title for my new book about her relentless fight against the odds; against an opponent far more formidable than Apollo Creed or Clubber Lang -- Reality itself. So don't flame me just yet.
As Hillary's word becomes a standard of measure for deception and hubris, I thought it fitting to pay homage to the remarkable gains she has made along the hopeless fight to defeat Reality, the undefeated champ. Her struggle has already made it into the English lexicon. Behold: my latest Webster's Collegiate Dictionary even has an entry for Clinton:
clin•ton \klin-ten\ (noun): 1. An incredible lie uttered when there is no discernable reason to lie. 2. A lie made with self-destructive abandon, especially when campaigning. 3. A self-infatuated fool with a sense of undue entitlement. Ex. "His steaming pile of clintons was too much for me to bear, I voted for the dead guy, since his lies had long ended."
A Pre-Pennsylvania wrap up of why the Clintons are awful. (EDITED FOR LIBERALS)
Thu Apr 10, 2008 at 09:01:37 AM PDT
Here are a few reminders of why the Clintons are terrible. I wanted to keep it short so these are just the first three that popped into my head. If more are needed please see: Walmart, Mark Penn, Blackwater, War vote, Flag Burning, Cuba, Triangulation, 3am, and destroying the democratic party.
NEW: Seeing as I offended people with my language I have gone through and made the changes I feel are necessary to appease my liberal base.
McCain Beats Obama in Landslide !
Sun Apr 06, 2008 at 01:03:14 AM PDT
This is the headline we'll all be looking at on that bright morning of November 5. Four more years of Republican rule and its because this election, just as in '00 and '04, is the Democrat's to lose and they are working overtime to cinch it up for the GOP. Thanks goes out to those who are putting their money on the lottery ticket and not the veteran.
In 2004 it seemed that the number one issue in the primary was electability. No one would stop talking about it and everyone was convinced Kerry was more electable than anyone else in the field. No one has even hinted discussing this issue in 2008.
Obama. Not the time to put in the rookie.
Wed Apr 02, 2008 at 04:48:01 AM PDT

In football your team could be down by a field goal with a quarter left in the game and the coach, for many reasons, could pull your starting quarterback and put in a rookie, hoping he doesn't screw up.
Unfortunately, it isn't that simple when running for President of the United States. There are no substitutions once you are in. There is no chance for a do-over. There are no timeouts. There is just hope. Four years of hope.
Even NJ Dems think Lautenberg is too old
Wed Mar 26, 2008 at 03:51:14 PM PDT
Businessman Tom Byrne, a former Democratic State Chair and son of former Governor Brendan Byrne, has confirmed he is assessing the viability of a challenge to Frank Lautenberg in the Democratic Senate primary in June.
The main reason seems to be concern about Lautenberg's advanced age (84) and recent polls showing him vulnerable in the general election despite the fact that the GOP primary is turning into a hardcore no-holds-barred wrestling match between a reactionary pitbull, a former dentist who calls himself "Jersey Joe" and wrote in a political manifesto that closed military bases should be turned into concentration camps for the homeless, and a nightclub owner who was kicked out of his family-owned food business for showing up drunk at work.
obama and 911:why he should drop out
Tue Mar 18, 2008 at 04:33:41 PM PDT
the issue about obama pastor is troubling .i dont reall y care about the racist comment. i am trouble about his 911 statement, about how we deserve to be attack.this is a big problem.911 is a big event in US history ,so i dont think obama can claim he didnt know about what his pastor said about 911.he should have denounce him then but he didnt.this is going to harm him later on.
whats more is that the pastor is obama spirital guidance.i sure after the event of 911 obama had talk to his pastor about the event, seeking his guidance ,i want to know what kind of advice did the pastor gave obama concerning 911.did the pastor gave the kind of talk that he gave on the sermon?
Obama admits more extensive Rezko ties
Sat Mar 15, 2008 at 02:55:01 AM PDT
From the Huffington Post.
Presidential candidate Barack Obama said Friday that he got more political money from indicted Chicago businessman Antoin "Tony" Rezko than he has previously acknowledged.
Rezko helped raise up to $250,000 for his various political races, Obama's campaign said. The campaign had previously put the figure at $150,000 but now says that amount was only for his 2004 Senate race.
The outrageous media bias favoring Obama.
Fri Mar 14, 2008 at 03:41:17 PM PDT
Finally, some are coming out and complaining about the outrageous media bias favoring Obama. Bill Maxwell of the St. Petersburg Times has a great article that sums up the damage this hype and spectacle has done to our political process.
Obama's gonna lose against McCain!
Sun Mar 09, 2008 at 08:59:20 PM PDT
Why? Simple. Because General Elections are run like Primaries. They are NOT run like Caucases.
