Fri Jun 26, 2009 at 01:12:46 PM PDT

Americans United for Separation of Church and State sent a letter this week to  U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder requesting an investigation of nine federal grants awarded to "faith-based groups that proselytize and that discriminate in hiring".

One of the challenged grants, a fiscal year 2008,  $235,000 earmark requested by Senator Amy Klobuchar is for Minnesota Teen Challenge, a controversial ministry that claims Halloween and Pokemon lead to drug abuse.

Will $500,000 Earmark for Controversial Ministry be Used to Fight Voodoo and Satan in Haiti?

Senator Amy Klobuchar has sponsored an earmark for the Halloween-hating Minnesota Teen Challenge Ministry. According to the website on another ministry, Minnesota Teen Challenge are about to embark on a mission to reverse what they describe as 200 years of Satanic rule in Haiti... YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK!!!

Does Michele Bachmann Support Earmark for Halloween-Hating MN Teen Challenge?

Wed Jan 07, 2009 at 12:21:40 PM PDT

Congresswoman Bachmann claims she's a leader in the fight against wasteful spending, bailouts and earmarks.... but is Bachmann opposed to Senator Amy Klobuchar's $500,000 earmark for Minnesota Teen Challenge?

Bachmann is a big supporter of Minnesota Teen Challenge. MNTC is an Assemblies of God Ministry that insists that drug abuse is caused by Satan and that only devout worship of Jesus can cure drug addicts. MN Teen claims Pokemon, Harry Potter and Halloween are gateways to Satanism and drug abuse... and a Christian blogger reports that the Board of Directors of MNTC are enjoying a junket to the warm and sunny Caribbean.

Should taxpayers give MNTC more money? What do you think?
