Step back behind the line, Scottie.

You belong in the box with the rest of the accused. You're not even qualified to be a juror here, much less the prosecutor. If you don't have any new evidence to present, you should sit down and shut up.

Is anybody getting the irony that the chief propaganda minister delegate is now writing about a "culture of deception"? No? Well, that's because it's not irony; it's hypocrisy, and yet more propaganda.

When McCain Decries "Activist Judges," Take Out Your BS Detector

Fri May 23, 2008 at 10:51:23 AM PDT

"They will appoint to the federal bench judges who are intent on achieving political changes that the American people cannot be convinced to accept through the election of their representatives.

I intend to nominate judges who have proven themselves worthy of our trust that they take as their sole responsibility the enforcement of laws made by the people's elected representatives, judges of the character and quality of Justices Roberts and Alito, judges who can be relied upon to respect the values of the people whose rights, laws and property they are sworn to defend."

From John McCain's CPAC Speech February 07, 2008

How UnCool are Democrats?

Mon Apr 21, 2008 at 05:38:29 PM PDT

By any measurement this Democratic Nomination race has been a neck and neck contest.  Every state has seen substantial support for each candidate and despite the desire to have Hillary drop out, we continue to see that she has firm support in many states and motivated supporters uninterested in her withdrawing before June 1, maybe not until the Convention.

Given the Rovian tone of the Clinton campaign: How UnCool is that?

[UPDATE w/campaign response] Hillary's ad: debate footage doctored to make Obama blacker

Tue Mar 04, 2008 at 12:19:22 AM PDT

Update x2: Hillary's campaign responded to this diary by lying about it.  See the bottom of the diary.

In case you needed yet another reason to despise Hillary Clinton and her vermin strategists, she's now running an ad blatantly lying about Obama's subcommittee.  Her ad includes debate footage heavily doctored to make Obama blacker.

I guess this is the "fun part."

This was all pointed out (and links provided, and so on) in a comment by converse, but I haven't seen it diaried yet, so I wrote this one.  (Update: jthomascronin apparently diaried this story yesterday, and seems to be the original person to point this out.)

In another comment, clonecone pointed out that Time got caught doing this a while back and posted this picture:

Here's Hillary's take on it:

Congrats, Troutnut, you hit the front page of Digg. Unfortunately, they linked to the version with comments, not the storyonly version. Comments disabled for now. -ct

Whatever Happened to MyDD? (Updated)

Thu Feb 07, 2008 at 01:49:58 PM PDT

At what point in time did MyDD morph into MyDLC?

I always thought that we (we being the netroots) were - for the most part - in agreement that the DLC and their centrist, appeasement agenda was a bad thing. That pursuing a strategy that basically said, "yes I too am as eager to kill us some Arabs, but I'm not as CRAZY as the actual republicans are" was a horrible strategy, not to mention a disgusting way of looking at matters anyway...

Update 2/8/08: DaveOinSF has posted a diary at MyDLC that compeltely mischaracterizes the premise of this diary. He claims this diary's premise is that since there a lot of Hillary supporters at MyDLC, that's the reason I think it's awful. Which, if you actually read this diary, there's much more to it than that. Sadly, the response is typical for a large portion of the MyDLC crowd of late.

Clinton busted for MORE!!! planting ala bushco (new allegations)

Sat Nov 10, 2007 at 09:02:16 PM PDT

Well, if the news of planted questions at a Hillary event in Iowa that came out last night wasn't enough

More are coming to light on a constant roll now.

Jump below and lets explore this together

Forget! Not Me

Mon Sep 17, 2007 at 11:22:10 AM PDT

My first post is the unedited version of a letter I've sent off to the local paper in response to an Obama supporting friend.  Bob and I go back to the Dean NH primary campaign and Bob wrote to me via the paper saying in effect I should listen to my wife and pay attention to the negatives about Hillary.
---------------

Thanks Bob,

Bob, my friend and compadre in campaigns past, you have my thanks for enunciating the exact issues that got me involved with Hillary in the first place.

Yes, I love her politics and I truly believe she is the best qualified to lead us out of the mess the bushies will leave behind.   But as my wife knows, I got involved the moment Hillary announced her candidacy for two over riding reasons.  We have to win this time and in order to beat the Rovian tactics we must think like them and put forward the candidate best equipped to fight back against their 12 year old focused advertising, lies and rumor mongering.  If I did the usual progressive thing and followed my ideals then Gravel or Dennis might have my support.  What a waste that would be.
