NBC's Brian Williams Interviews Tony Blair: Transcript Leaked
Mon May 14, 2007 at 07:46:12 PM PDT
As you know by now, Anthony Charles Lynton 'Tony' Blair is set to resign as Great Britain's Prime Minister on June 27th. Barring a major surprise, Gordon Brown, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, is expected to replace him as leader of the Labour Party and become the new PM.
In his final visit as PM to the United States, Blair was interviewed tonight by Brian Williams, the Anchor of NBC Nightly News. The interview will be shown on NBC's newscast tomorrow evening.
Leaked by unnamed sources at NBC News, Blair discussed a wide range of topics covering his 10 year-tenure as PM and elaborated on his role as "George W. Bush's Poodle" in this interview.

We’ve been down this road before. That Bush et al have steadfastly refused to learn their history is axiomatic. But I can’t help but wish that someone at PNAC or the American Enterprise Institute or the Federalist Society (ideally several someones at all three) had read T.E. Lawrence before they stooped to whisper in Bush’s ear.

I hope this hasn't been posted before, but I came across an interesting report from the Sunday Times of London by one of England's more prominent citizens regarding the Bush administration's favorite battlefield which begins (with a few edits from me):
The people of England have been led in [Iraq] into a trap from which it will be hard to escape with dignity and honour. They have been tricked into it by a steady withholding of information. The Bagdad communiqués are belated, insincere, incomplete. Things have been far worse than we have been told, our administration more bloody and inefficient than the public knows. It is a disgrace to our imperial record, and may soon be too inflamed for any ordinary cure. We are to-day not far from a disaster.
