Staying Classy
Sat May 17, 2008 at 11:40:30 AM PDT
Just when I thought that Democrats were pulling together, it seems that a number of Hillary supporters are reveling in Ted Kennedy's ill health.
Here are some snippets of 'staying classy' over at TaylorMarsh.com:
Taylor Marsh and the McCain Protest Vote.
Fri May 16, 2008 at 04:24:06 PM PDT
I've been watching the Taylor Marsh website for several months. Today the rhetoric for this Protest Vote for McCain finally made me get an account.
The Title of the Blog is "Hillary Democrats to the Floor"!
Basically they are taking the Hillary line that the votes in Michigan and Florida should be counted just as cast and not giving Obama any out of Michigan (It's the only way they can arrive at the math that Hillary has the popular vote). If Hillary is thrown under the bus they go down with her.

Defend NARAL against Taylor Marsh
Wed May 14, 2008 at 12:28:01 PM PDT
DONATE TO NARAL HERE
Abortion rights are attack from one of the usual right-wing suspects: Taylor Marsh, who wrote a screed titled, "NARAL: As Bad as I Thought".
Taylor Marsh of course is the unemployed "radio host" slash blogger who delights in stoking the fears/hatred of Hillary's fringe supporters and publishing a blog (I won't link to it) that has produced unprecedented Obama hatred. She's asking her rabid followers to email NARAL to protest the Obama endorsement. She's also encouraging people to stop giving money to NARAL, one of the nation's leading voices in reproductive rights.
NARAL's donations will dry up from at least half the population of this country. I'm not a member...I don't trust these women.
This proves, once again, that the Taylor Marsh and her "Vote for McCain" brigade could give a rip about abortion rights or Roe v. Wade.
Taylor Marsh thinks Obama is a Nazi
Fri May 09, 2008 at 10:40:25 PM PDT
At this point, there is no other conlusion that I can reach.
I know we're supposed to ignore this lunatic... but Taylor Marsh is STILL running an ad on her website that compares Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler, despite multiple requests to take it down... She is SCUM. She is TRASH. I mean - forget that she is violating Godwin's law. She should never be allowed near a Democratic blogger's conference ever again. And if she ever gets a radio show on Air America, we should call her and tell her that she's an anti-semite until they kick her off the air.

Clinton: People Behaving Badly, Behaving Worse
Fri May 09, 2008 at 06:03:17 PM PDT
With each racial dogwhistle "misstep" of the Clinton Campaign, I have become more and more appalled.
With each new variation on basic math in terms "how to count delegates," I have become more and more puzzled.
With each new justification on why Democratic Party decisions on rules for seating delegates can be ignored (see Florida and Michigan), I have become more and more mystified.
This is not just People Behaving Badly, it's People Behaving Worse and Worse.
- First outer Satellite Shaheen implied Obama was a drug dealer.
- Inside the Orbiter Bill Clinton made his Jesse Jackson comments.
- The Royal Sun herself conflated "hard-working people" with "white people."
The arguments have become more tortured and more outlandish on math and "how to seat delegate" questions. They've lost...so why are Clinton, Lanny Davis, et al they becoming more and more outrageous?
Cheers to Hillary is 44, Taylor Marsh and MyDD
Fri May 09, 2008 at 11:46:53 AM PDT
Many independents and members of the Democratic Party were distressed to see the negative tone taken by the Clinton campaign. It was hard to watch a Democratic candidate use such rovian tactics against a fellow party member.
However some of Clintons "supporters" managed to do what the Clinton campaign could not, assure us a true candidate for change in the general.
Updated+: WHERE'S HILLARY? (With Poll)

Let's get every group with a stake in a Democratic victory in November on board to stop these sore-losers' threats!
We Should Reject the 1% Dead Enders
Thu May 08, 2008 at 09:13:47 PM PDT
Taylor Marsh, Lanny Davis, Joe LIEberman, Mark Penn, Harold Ford, Susan Hu, Alegre, etc... It is disgusting people like the aforesaid who are precisely why Democrats never attained more than 50.8% of the vote in any presidential election since 1964 and it is people like this whom we need to make a clean break from as Democrats. It is their attitudes, their euphoria for being Stockholm Syndrome democrats, and their immoral characters that gave us 12 years of Bushes, 8 years of Reagan, and two terms of Nixon. And it's time we make a clean break from these cancerous types.
If Democrats want to be a majority party for the next 40 years, and I think we will be, then we need to distance ourselves from these one percent dead enders and stick to our core FDR/Truman/JFK principles of being honest in the presentation of our ideas, applying ethics universally, implementing pro middle class domestic policies, protecting everyone's civil liberties, and making foreign policy decisions based on facts and national security instead of opportunism and Halliburton spreadsheets.
Taylor Marsh desperately attempts to remain relevant. Result? Comedy gold!
Wed May 07, 2008 at 02:50:44 PM PDT
After spending the entire primary season bashing Barack Obama with lies, "radio host" Taylor Marsh (no, she does not have a radio show), today, began her pivot from Hillary-loving, Obama-hating, bile-spewer to "good Democrat."
The results could not have been funnier...

Donna Brazile -- Fair and Balanced with Attitude
Sat Apr 12, 2008 at 04:50:04 PM PDT
There were some Hillary Clinton supporters out on the Internet attacking Donna Brazile recently for what they see as her support for Obama in an her op-ed calling on Hillary to stop throwing elbows.
Bloggers from Politico.com, MyDD.com and Hillaryis44.com, Taylor Marsh have been brutal in their attacks. If you read some of their comments you would think that Donna was a supporter of terrorism or something similar. They weren't even reporting all the facts with their attacks, just cutting and pasting what 'they' felt needed to be printed.

Taylor Marsh: Hack or Fraud?
Wed Apr 09, 2008 at 11:23:55 AM PDT
I just can't help myself from spreading the word about this masterful article I just read. If any of you have ever scratched your head wondering who the heck Taylor Marsh is and why she is given a mouthpiece, read on.
In essence, the article delves into, with surprisingly excellent sourcing and backup, Taylor Marsh's two primary resume items. First, that she is an "author" and, second, that she is/was a "radio host".
To start:
The Taylor Marsh story has two parts. First, it cautions us to remember that having a slick blog and a knack for PR doesn't make someone smart, qualified, or credible. Second, it teaches us that anyone can command an audience for his or her opinions. The Taylor Marsh story is about fame for the foolish, attention for the mediocre, and how a kid from Missouri can somehow grow up to be an oft-cited resource among those with an interest in serious matters--even if she might not have any business sharing the stage with serious people.
See below the fold for the rest of the factual goodness...
So I tried posting at TaylorMarsh.com...
Fri Apr 04, 2008 at 05:39:35 PM PDT
It was pretty hard wading through the garbage.
But what I tried to post I thought was innocuous enough:
I'm confused... isn't this a site for Democrats and Liberals? You know, the "antidote to right-wing radio." So why all the love for McCain? The differences between Hillary and Obama are miniscule compared to the policy differences between Hillary/Obama and McSame. Isn't it more important that feminist and Democratic policies get promoted in the White House than your particular candidate gets the nomination? If not, does that mean you belong to a personality cult?
My posting was quickly moderated out of existence. Fortunately, the moderators were there to leave such gemtastic comments (in the same thread):

* returns to lurking *
I’m a long time lurker, first time poster (uh...tip jar?). Spent a bunch of years reading Wonkette hourly before switching over to the capital B Blogosphere cuz watching you knuckleheads throw the smack down on each other proves to be the only thing more fun than snark. It’s been good times folks – we’re just getting started right?
F*ckin’ GO Barack Obama!
No, not a freeper, too funny.
Taylor Marsh.... lost my respect.
Thu Mar 27, 2008 at 01:05:59 PM PDT
I know I know, I will get flamed for having any to begin with.
but in an effort to get to the truth I tend to read from all sources, Republican, Democrat, progressive, you name it if you link it I probably book mark it and will visit it later.
I found TM.com from here and since then I visit it every now and then, she is obviously pro-clinton and will spin just a bit, but I thought she at least cared about the truth.
Taylor Marsh can't read a poll
Thu Mar 27, 2008 at 11:52:20 AM PDT
Taylor "Limbaugh" Marsh, the unemployed "radio host" and "media personality" who regularly calls Barack Obama "dangerous", has a post up today about the NBC-WSJ poll which shows Hillary Clinton's negatives dropping to 37%.
Oversampling of NBC-WSJ Poll
Good to know. The Wall Street Journal, talking about a new poll (pdf) they did in partnership with NBC, runs an article this morning that claims a "myth-buster" on Wright's effect on Obama, without letting the readers know that they oversampled. In addition, we oversampled African-Americans in order to get a more reliable cross-tab on many of the questions we asked in this poll regarding Sen. Barack Obama's speech on race and overall response to last week's Rev. Jeremiah Wright dustup. - MSNBC First Read
An open letter to all white people--we suck
Fri Mar 21, 2008 at 09:07:11 AM PDT
Like many of my fellow white brothers and sisters, I have struggled with this realization for a long time. It is painful, and I wish I weren't so. But it's time to face facts. From Mitt Romney to tube socks, from the SATs to slavery--we are the root of all that sucks in this world.
That's why I support Barack Obama--because this suckiness must end, and let's admit the truth, for the sake of our pale children and grandchildren, we cannot afford four more years of honky rule.
And that's also why I was at first overjoyed to hear an interview Barack Obama, when he said his grandmother was "a typical white person."
What a beautiful thought: if all white people were like Barack Obama's grandmother!
Striking Writers Write of Strike on Kos -- Define Irony
Tue Mar 18, 2008 at 10:16:05 PM PDT
Guess where I heard about this whole "Writers' Strike" being held by some Hillary supporters on Daily Kos? You would think Daily Kos, but you'd be mistaken. I first heard about it through The O'Reilly Factor. That's right. Bill O'Reilly used the "strike" as a big "I told you so" to Hillary Clinton. He also used it to trash everything about Daily Kos -- including his readers. He went so far as to say no "respectable" person would be found posting on this site (I'll take my chances).
Bill O'Reilly chewing out clear-thinking Kos readers and posters is nothing new. What is new is the reason he's chewing us out. The ammunition provided to him this time around has been hand delivered by Daily Kos readers and Daily Kos posters themselves. Once again, we are eating our own.
But it's all about what's "fair" right? And Hillary isn't being given a fair shake. Think again.
