Regarding your previous endorsement of Clinton, and your most recent article, wherein you state ...
[snip ...]
But we believe just as strongly that Mrs. Clinton will be making a terrible mistake — for herself, her party and for the nation — if she continues to press her candidacy through negative campaigning with disturbing racial undertones. We believe it would also be a terrible mistake if she launches a fight over the disqualified delegations from Florida and Michigan.
Sen. Clinton was born in Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. She went to school in Massachusets and Connecticut . She then married and moved to Arkansas. Now she represents New York in the Senate. Therefore she is from all those places. She won primaries in all these significant states: Massachussets, Arkansas, Connecticut and New York. Her win in PA is partly attributed to her grandparents being from there. Illinois doesn't count because Sen. Obama is from there too.
Thus, it is clear that having roots all over the US is a distinct advantage to Sen. Clinton. It makes her a hometown girl in most of the places she has won. Even in TX her connections date back to the seventies when she campaigned for McGovern there. And as first lady she spent so much time in CA, everyone was surprised when she chose New York from which to run for the Senate.
The next primary is in Guam, May 3rd. Nine delegates at stake. Almost the number of delegates Sen. Clinton won in her gigantic victory in PA. Guam is definitely a significant contest.
I have such fond memories of Guam!
Sen. Clinton began her Press Conference yesterday. The reporters were skeptical.
Got to have a little fun with our friends at daily kos who now tell us some states do not actually matter:
There's never been any reason to expect Obama to do well in Appalachia, so even if Clinton hangs around through Kentucky, a big win there won't mean much either in delegates gained or in creating a perception of momentum.
(Emphasis supplied.) For the record, I do not think any Dem has a chance in Kentucky or MS, GA, AL, AZ, TX, ID, UT, WY, ND, etc. But I do find it rich that the Big Orange now tells us it is ok to say some states do not matter.

The Clintons cannot stop lying, this is just incredible. Bill Clinton is now lying about Hillary Clinton Bosnia lie and fabrication claiming that Hillary Clinton told the Bosnia trip story at 11:00 PM at night and she was tired.
First of all Hillary Clinton told the Bosnia lies in plain day light. Second if Bill Clinton is saying that Hillary Clinton is too tired at 11:00 PM therefore by his argument she cannot handle the crisis phone call at 3:00 AM in the morning.
Why do the Clintons lie so much? Is it just a reflex or is it some carefully thought out plan? If it is a plan, it is not working. Not a day goes by that yet another Clinton myth is not exploded.
Today's exposed lie is about the moving story about a woman who dies for lack of a $100. It shows all the signs of a classic Clinton lie. Attention to detail, vague sourcing, repetition at multiple venues. A perfect story but one for one small matter: it is not true.
As I write this, my first diary, I do so with the normal anxiety associated with sharing personal thoughts in a public setting. Yesterday the 40th anniversary of Dr. King’s "murder" and a news story hit me in a way that forces me to move beyond my personal comfort and post, please be kind.
"A Time To Break Silence"
How my opinion was shaped by a(nother) lie.
As a "good democrat" I have tried to advocate without demonizing, largely remaining silent. I have maintained relative silence because I believe it will take a unified party to achieve the big goals but today it’s time for me to break my silence.
H. Clinton has been speaking in her stump speech repeatedly about a poor Ohio woman turned away from an Ohio Hospital for lack of $100 fee who lost her baby and then died -- all because she had no insurance.
She said she could not get this sad story off her mind.
But apparently she didn't keep it in mind sufficiently to verify it because she never verified it. The hospital has denied the woman was refused service and states in fact she had insurance.
The Clinton campaign has admitted it "misspoke".
Speaking in reckless disregard of the truth is not "misspeaking". Rather it is a form of lying.
Sigh. Another Hillary Clinton stump speech story comes under scrutiny for truthiness:
Ohio Hospital Contests a Story Clinton Tells
By DEBORAH SONTAG
Over the last five weeks, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York has featured in her campaign stump speeches the story of a health care horror: an uninsured pregnant woman who lost her baby and died herself after being denied care by an Ohio hospital because she could not come up with a $100 fee.
The woman, Trina Bachtel, did die last August, two weeks after her baby boy was stillborn at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens, Ohio. But hospital administrators said Friday that Ms. Bachtel was under the care of an obstetrics practice affiliated with the hospital, that she was never refused treatment and that she was, in fact, insured.
"We implore the Clinton campaign to immediately desist from repeating this story," said Rick Castrop, chief executive officer of the O’Bleness Health System.
Are there really not enough honest to God nightmare health care stories out there that you have to make 'em up? And what does this say about the Clinton operation's ability to verify information--a minimal requirement, one would think, for the position of commander-in-chief?
First there was the little girl featured in Hillary Clinton's "3 a.m." scare ad, who turned out to be an Obama precinct captain.
Now, the Bosnian girl who has become a symbol of Clinton's lie about her "dangerous" trip to that country has come forward as well.
And while she isn't actively supporting Barack Obama, she can't bring herself to support Clinton either (despite the fact that a picture of her and Senator Clinton taken that day remains a "treasured family heirloom.")
In an effort to lessen damage done to her struggling presidential campaign by the recent revelation that she lied about details of a trip to Bosnia as First Lady, New York Senator Hillary Clinton will deliver a speech this Friday about the role of bald-faced lying in society.
The speech, described as "historic" and "a landmark event" by advisers close to Clinton, could be a make or break moment for the senator.
Excerpts from the prepared text have already leaked.
Now, no one is surprised that she got caught in a lie. If you are then you haven't been paying attention (to politics) for very long. And don't say it wasn't a lie - it was. It's not a "little hyperbole" or a "misstatement" it was a complete fabrication. She's getting called on it - thanks for that. There are some questions not being asked, and more to the lie than is being reported yet.
When you're running to be Commander-in-Chief, it's never a good idea to lie, but to lie about coming under sniper fire in a war zone when in reality you were greeted by children and flowers is particularly offensive to veterans.
UPDATED 101PM - The pilot of the C17 that flew Hillary and Chelsea Clinton to Bosnia speaks out:
Summary of pilot's comments:
No evasive landing... There was a steep descent because the airstrip is surrounded by mountains.
No bullets or sniper fire...We never would have landed there if there were any such thing.
No "sitting on flackjackets.." The only place I've ever heard of that was in the movie Apocalypse Now.
Yesterday, Hillary tried to pass off her Bosnia misstatement as a single mistatement. Jed has aleady come up with numerous other instances where Hillary made the same false claim. It is clear that she made the false statement in Iowa as well. Updated: Have Video!
