President Bush committed political treason today

Thu May 15, 2008 at 08:16:38 AM PDT

Cross-posted by Will Bunch at my Philadelphia Daily News blog, Attytood:

I've seen a lot of sad things in American politics in my lifetime -- the resignation of a president who became a national disgrace after he oversaw a campaign of break-ins and cover-ups, another who circumvented the Constitution to trade arms for hostages, and yet is now hailed as national hero. And those paled to what we have seen in the last seven years -- flagrant disregard for the Constitution, the launching of a "pre-emptive" war on false pretenses, and discussions about torture and other shocking abuses inside the White House inner sanctum.

But now it's come to this: A new low that I never imagined was even possible.

Barack Obama betrays America by pledging allegiance to Israel

Dear Senator Obama,

You have pledged your support to Israel in solidarity, contrary to the Founding Fathers' advice against entangling alliances with foreign powers.

Blatantly Dangerous

Tue May 06, 2008 at 11:13:08 AM PDT

It is a well known fact that a majority of Jewish voters are in favor of Hillary Clinton for President.  Barack Obama has been behind the 8 ball with this voting group because of his supposed sympathy for the Palastenians.  He's also doesn't want to "obliterate" and nuke Iran if Iran was to attack Israel.

Wikpedia describes treason as follows... "treason is the crime that covers some of the more serious acts of disloyalty to one's sovereign or nation."

(UPDATE) - You don't belive there are a lot of pro Israeli Jewish people living in the U.S. and that their main concern is the survival and bettermant of Israel???  Why do you think Hillary is saying she'll "obliterate" Iran?  EXACTLY for this vote!!!  Wasn't it one of Israel's former primer ministers who recently said that 9/11 was beneficial for Israel, because of U.S. policy in the region?

Did Limbaugh Cross the Line? Please Vote! (with poll, plus link to another poll)

Fri Apr 25, 2008 at 10:14:50 AM PDT

Did Rush Limbaugh cross the line when he hoped for riots during the Denver Democratic National Convention?  That's the question posed in a poll on TheDenverChannel.com

If you have been in a cave and haven't followed the news or other posts here you might have missed the news that Rush has done it again - he opened his mouth and sewage came out.

From the DenverChannel.com:

Talk show host Rush Limbaugh is sparking controversy again after he made comments calling for riots in Denver during the Democratic National Convention this summer.

He said the riots would ensure a Democrat is not elected as president, and his listeners have a responsibility to make sure it happens.

"Riots in Denver, the Democrat Convention would see to it that we don't elect Democrats," Limbaugh said during Wednesday's radio broadcast. He then went on to say that's the best thing that could happen to the country.

Electoral Treason (Take Two)

Thu Apr 24, 2008 at 11:27:05 AM PDT

Immediately following the sea-change election of 2006, I posted a diary expressing my anger and frustration.  Yes, I was elated that the party of progressive policies for the people had taken back both houses of congress.  But there was an anger -- an anger that we as a politic body continue to allow our electoral treason to be treated as a game with no rules, no referees and no respect for the sacrifices made by thousands to protect our right to vote.

The other side has us beat hands down on psychological use of words when enacting legislation.  No Child Left Behind, the Patriot Act, etc.  Yes, words do matter.  At that time I proposed an act to protect the integrity of our electoral system.  I suggested it be called the Electoral Treason Act.  I was told that the time was not right, we should be celebrating.  Now the time is right.  Below the fold I re-present my diary from almost two years ago.

McCain linked to treasonists

Tue Apr 22, 2008 at 06:12:37 AM PDT

Only a deluded nut like John McCain would self-righteously claim that Barack Obama associates with a known terrorist, William Ayers, when in fact McCain has much closer links to two individuals within government that perpetrated acts that I believe were treasonous.

I am talking about McCain's endorsements by Charles Colson, one of the Nixon loyalists imprisoned for his role in Watergate, and Oliver North, best known for playing a Boy Scout swearing on a bible during Iran Contra while lying through his teeth.

Psychological Warfare on Americans?

Sat Apr 19, 2008 at 05:43:53 PM PDT

I was talking to a friend at work the other night, and i realized something.  "We the people" are somewhat ignorant to the majority of things going on around us.  I completly lost faith in my fellow men and women talking to this person, because quite frankly she is stupid. Not ignorant, as in does not know better, but stupid as in knows the truth but refuses to believe it.

When the majority of Americans think that the war is going badly, and the economy is in the dumps, we turn to the Television, our last refuge of supposed 1st amendment protection and the 4th estate.  The press whose job it is to keep our government (all three branches) in check, by exposing the non truths and out right lies has my friends officially failed us!  Now the more cynical of you will say what you didn't know?  Yes i suspected, but honestly i had not thought it was this bad until reading the article refrenced by SusanG's diary

MSM - Acts Of Treason

Sat Apr 19, 2008 at 10:04:55 AM PDT

If you look at the classic definition of treason, it is defined as :

Violation of allegiance toward one's country or sovereign, especially the betrayal of one's country by waging war against it or by consciously and purposely acting to aid its enemies

But for the purpose of this diary and to look at the "mainstream media" or as those that are on the "radical right" side of the radio dial call it, the "liberal media".

I would prefer to administer the 2nd definition of treason to the MSM which is simply :

A betrayal of trust or confidence

"From This Day Forward..."

Fri Apr 18, 2008 at 10:43:50 PM PDT

Crossposted from ePluribus Media.

Recognize the title? Perhaps you may, particularly if you are married -- it's a snippet from a marriage vow.

________

To Have and to Hold From This Day Forward,
For Better or for Worse,
For Richer, or for Poorer,
In Sickness and in Health,
Forsaking All Others,
To Love and to Cherish,
Until Death Do Us Part.
________

Unfortunately, when I came across the phrase and paused long enough to take each line separately, it was not any type of matrimonial bliss that graced my mind, but instead the unholy union that has resulted in the current disaster currently damning our nation at the highest levels. What follows are the random thoughts I found darkly circling each phrase in the vow; tread softly now, that the imprints left do not permanently mar the once-bright promise and potential formerly associated with it...

Treason: I Accuse Cheney

Fri Mar 28, 2008 at 07:26:52 AM PDT

Please bear with me, because this is not an idle charge.

This is a very specific charge, that Cheney committed treason this month, during his meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister al-Maliki.

I believe the the Vice President conspired with a foreign government to draw US troops into a fight in Basra without consent of the president nor the American military command.

The quick summary:

  1.  Prime Minister al-Maliki launched an attack on Sadrist forces in Basra this week.
  1.  President Bush has stated that Maliki undertook this attack on his own, without discussion with American commanders.
  1.  There was no major provocation between Sadr's forces and Maliki in recent weeks.  The attack was not the obvious outcome of escalating problems.
  1.  The attack comes 10 days or so after Cheney's secret visit and conference with Maliki.
  1.  Cheney is reported to have insisted on provincial elections, knowing that Maliki would be likely to lose Basra to Sadr's allies if nothing changed between now and October.

Matt Drudge endangers troops

Thu Feb 28, 2008 at 04:24:16 PM PDT

As if any of us needed further reason to hold Matt Drudge in contempt, it is apparently now his practice to dish up the dirt and provide his tabloid "scoop" even at the expense of lives and the safety of coalition soldiers. In outing the deployment of Prince Harry, Drudge has endangered the life of a young man and those of his comrades who at least had the guts to serve in their nation's military. To steal a republican talking point, this is giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

RNC, White House covering their electronic tracks / with Poll

Wed Feb 27, 2008 at 08:49:10 PM PDT

First we learned how officials in the Bush White House like Karl Rove avoided having their e-mail archived as the Law requires for White House e-mails, instead using the RNC's email system as a back channel.

Next we hear that over 700 days of White House E-mail was lost when in 2002 the Bush White House had the automatic archiving system for e-mail ripped out.

Now the RNC says it refuses to hand over any of its e-mail records for officials of the Bush white House.

GOP says it won't track lost White House e-mail

WASHINGTON — After promising last year to search its computers for tens of thousands of e-mails sent by White House officials, the Republican National Committee (RNC) has informed a House committee that it no longer plans to retrieve the communications by restoring computer backup tapes, the panel's chairman said Tuesday.

The move increases the likelihood that an untold number of RNC e-mails dealing with official White House business during the first term of the Bush administration — including many sent or received by former presidential adviser Karl Rove — will never be recovered,

"Obama may face grilling on patriotism" - AP News

Sat Feb 23, 2008 at 09:58:04 AM PDT

AP News Service is once again showing its Republican leanings, by publishing a full spectrum of garbage this morning. First off, is an article written by the notoriously corrupt Nedra Pickler, entitled, "Obama may face grilling on patriotism". This piece of journalistic garbage could easily have been written by almost anyone at the RNC, and perhaps it was...

Destroying a GOP meme

Tue Feb 19, 2008 at 03:46:06 AM PDT

I was over at relatives for the weekend and the GOP meme of 'who would bin Laden vote for' came up during the drinks sessions before dinner.

I quickly began warbling by regular ditty: Not only would bin Laden vote Republican he probably would like to speak in Minneapolis to send his apprecation to the admin of the AWOL drunk and the serial draft dodger.

The GOOPERs become apoplexic and demand why I would say something like that.

Remember, remember this 4th of November...
