Stay humble everyone

I know there are a ton of diaries going out on how we need to "coax" Clinton supporters into our tent and all that, but it's not over until she says it's over.  Don't kid yourselves, we'll need their vote, and nobody likes being told by their enemies to come join our side.  They are very passionate about  their candidate, just as much as we are with ours.  If Hillary Clinton had the delegate lead and the math now, it would be the LAST thing I want that they tell us "Obama peeps, we want and need you to come to our side now, let's stand together."

I Hope Senators Clinton and Obama are Liars

Thu Jan 31, 2008 at 03:36:28 PM PDT

My folks had a record album of a Southern comedian who called himself Brother Dave Gardner. I don't remember much from the man's routine but one line stuck with me. "If a man's down, kick him. That way he won't have the opportunity to rise above you." That got lots of laughs – and appreciative applause.

George Bush campaigned for the presidency as a "compassionate conservative" – and fostered the most callous, vicious, divisive government in modern history.

Both Senators Obama and Clinton have made issues of promising to work with Republicans and ending the bitterness in Washington.

As many of you know, I am nolalily.  NOLA from New Orleans, Louisiana and LILY as in my favorite flower.  It is also the name I would have given my daughter, had I had one.  I have written a few diaries and a lot more comments about my experiences since Katrina.  I have also refrained from writing more as Katrina is one thing I am still coming to terms with.  In many ways, I have made my peace.  In many ways, I am still not there.

My husband rarely posts here but when he does, he posts under the name, bigbenbob.  He wrote, what many of you considered, a very touching diary back in April of 2006.
