McCain in Speech runs from Repubs, hints Bin-Laden is dead, & attacks Obama

Fri May 16, 2008 at 10:17:27 AM PDT

Whoaaaa!

A smorghosboard of stuff was thrown around by McCain and Bush at Obamaa. Do we still wonder who's the presumptive Dem nominee now?

As I watched McCain's speech yesterday morning in Columbus Ohio, I noticed that the McCain I heard, didn't sound like a Republican or McCain (even in the past)anymore.

While watching, I noticed "wow, this man is really afraid to call himself a Republican, and must of been scared to death, to see Obama and Edwards on the stage together Weds".

I guess with the GOP losing all those "special election" congressional seats, McCain "knows what's up".

Run! Run! Run, from the Republicans!

So why did McCain (no more than 2 hrs later)intertwine foreign policy & Bush again, by embroiling himself in the Bush, Obama, "Appeaser" nonsense. Republicans, just cant seem to seperate themselves from Bush, it seems. Lol.

It seems Republican's (and their assets), are acting really schizophrenic now. Even CNN (as pointed out here on Kos), can't even explain Pres. Bush's actions.

Breaking! Edwards endorses Obama from AP, It's official. Open thread, with poll

Wed May 14, 2008 at 02:15:42 PM PDT

I just saw the ticker on MSNBC.

It's now official, and being reported everywhere.
Here's the link from the NY Times.

Daschle is confirming with Wolf on CNN.

I know they're several diaries on this.

But who cares! Now we don't have to talk/mope/explain W.Virginia anymore (remember that). Lol.

Both Obama and Edwards, are currently in hardworking, blue collar Michigan. The endorsement will be announced at an Obama rally.

I know people range from loving Edwards to hating Edwards (says his voting didn't match his rhetoric), but he's finally on board. God bless them.

Please note the endorsement time has been moved up to 6:30 and not 7pm.

Congrats Kossacks/Obama.

Breaking2! Salient, details missing from ABC, WAPO Poll, Obama/W Poll

Mon May 12, 2008 at 07:04:38 PM PDT

This Poll was posted earlier. But the previous post, only gave brief outlines. But for those, who can't read the whole 17pg ABC poll. I just wanted to highlight a few excerpts right here! You won't regret my companion post, or the ABC/WAPO Poll. I'd like to thank, Max NYC, for his original post earlier.

Don't let the media dictate, false talking points.

In general election matchups, Obama leads McCain by 51-44 percent, similar to the last
two ABC/Post polls. Standings in a Clinton vs. McCain race are 49-46 percent, again
roughly similar to previous ABC/Post results.

Obama also leads in electability vs the struggling Clinton. The ABC poll states, Obama maintains his 12 point lead from ABC previous polls 53 to 41%

Democrats by a 12-point
margin would rather see Obama as the nominee, a lead that’s held steadily in ABC/Post
polls since early March. Instead it reflects a rejection of the notion that the drawn-out
contest will hurt the party’s prospects.

There's more highlights below. http://www.abcnews.go.com/...

Oh No, Desperate Clintons, again confronted, & heckled in W. Virginia, w poll/video

Fri May 09, 2008 at 11:27:59 AM PDT

Wow! It's Deja vu all over again (as Yogi Berra once said)Kossacks.

What's going on?

The Clinton's are for some reason rampaging through W. Virginia (a state they should win handily), by being periodically confronted/heckled and peppered by and assortment by Obama supporters (this happened to them yesterday as well in WV). Geesh! What gives?

Is the mounting pressure, strain, lies and constant spin getting to them?

Why argue? Isn't the end game already near?

Maybe Obama supporters in WV, are just mad at the race baiting, and want to corner the Clintons on camera defensively? I don't know!

I'm not sure if it's a good idea either by Obama supporters, for the General (unless Obama is going to lose WV anyway), to confront the Clinton's, like this (and watch Bill's nose turn red, while wagging his famous, rotating finger).

Some of you may like it, hate it, or not care. Is it fair game, or is karma? Maybe others say, the Clinton's should have a "Come To Jesus Moment" (quit), & go home!

I don't know. You decide.

But, here's the article and video from the NY Times website.

Clinton booed, while Chelsea heckled in W. Virginia with poll

Thu May 08, 2008 at 11:54:55 AM PDT

Times are not good for Hillary Clinton right now.

With her candidacy on critical life support, and the dreaded math (perpetually) against her; She got blown away in NC on Tuesday, while squeaking out a win in IN (all because of GOP intervention). What more could happen?

So after the Tues nights smack down by Obama. Clinton heard all the calls for her to get out of the race (Russert being first & primary).

Upon hearing all the negativity, she decided to promptly, change the subject, stand strong & hustle her way to West Virginia, in what she thought was friendly territory.

Boy was she wrong! Both Hillary and even Chelsea, got booed, heckled and interrupted, in what she must of thought was friendly "Blue Collar, low info, White Appalachian territory". Unfortunately, Clinton decided to hold her rally, in a progressive area in WV. Wow! And no one in the media told us this Yesterday.

You think people want her out of this election or what?

Check out this article yesterday in NY Times by reporter, JM Broder.

Breaking: Baracks "Closing Arguments" Speech available

Sat May 03, 2008 at 10:19:43 PM PDT

Here is the Barack speech earlier this morning, titled "Closing Arguments in Indianapolis.

This is the speech that we all waxed poetic about this earlier today (if you missed it, check it out), declaring that "Obama-Rama" & his Mojo were back.

Sorry guys, I tried to release this around 11:30Pm Sat night, but I had already posted the earlier, much discussed live thread (thanks Kos. lol), so it was breaking, when I attemped to release it at 11:30. Lol. Hopefully it's still breaking now.

But, yes! We discussed a lot of it earlier (for those who didn't see it), and once again, Obama was fabulous. So I'm not going to wax poetic/break it down again.

Also thanks everyone, for instructing me how to imbed the video.

Great!

Updated!: Live Blog: Obama is giving a great speech right now Kossacks: Now finished

Sat May 03, 2008 at 09:43:16 AM PDT

It's on Cnn.com

It's not his "same ol stump speech"!

Among other things, Obama chastised Clinton on the gas tax, and called labelled it political pandering, in a skillful, hard charging kind of way, than before. He was more confident, than he's been lately. No stuttering, during this speech.
Just conviction, swiftness, outrage and confidence!

He hit cut the right swath of detail, emotion, stories, Patriotism, anger, outrage and ridicule, while maintaining it's majesticism and emotion. Truly, a great new stump speech, we're he received numerous standing ovations.

As I stated, Obama focused on working people, and detail, with inspirational stories about his extended family, as he expanded on Michelle's and his Brother in law, with great patriotic, saliva swallowing detail. He even mentioned India and China, when discussing American jobs, challenges and trade. When's the last time he mentioned China and India in the same sentence? Ya think he was thinking about Clinton and her deal?

He should of spoke this way earlier.

The people in Indiana were loving every minute of it!  Numerous standing ovations!

My two cents. An insightful rant/analysis/temperature post Pennsylvania

Tue Apr 22, 2008 at 10:57:05 PM PDT

It's been a long, or short night for many of us, depending on who we rooted for, and how we coped with it. I for one, expected, and prepared for a Hillary win, despite the fact, I kept fighting the idea, that Obama, could pull it off. Ok he lost! Move on guys! Here's a couple of things.

The MSN needs to stop saying "Obama has struggled to reach working class white voters".  That may of been the case in Ohio and Pennsylvania. But that was not the case in Iowa, Virginia, Maryland, Wisconsin, Minnesota & Vermont, etc. It's funny, if you let them do the talking all the time, you never get a chance to think & say " oh yeah, that's true".

"Boo!" Hillary "Shot Down" By Obama latest ad/rebuke with boos/jeers! Gotta See!

Tue Apr 15, 2008 at 02:09:02 PM PDT

As Many of us Kossacks (I think I'm one now. Lol), I have sat and observed the new "Silly Season" attack on Obama, by Senator Clinton, purporting, that Obama is an "Elitist", that looks down on small town folks, with Religion and Guns.
