Subject Blackwater: Calling All Kossacks to Action Stations!

Sun May 04, 2008 at 11:23:07 AM PDT

Yesterday I wrote this diary entitled: Blackwater: Why does Bush need a private Praetorian Guard?

http://www.dailykos.com/...

As a full-time Democratic activist, I very seldom get to be so emotionally attached to an issue like I am to Blackwater Worldwide's attempt to establish a string of operating bases inside the US. If you signed-up yesterday, thanks. If you missed it because of the hectic diary pace here, please take a moment and do it.

This diary is exactly what it says it is, a call to action! It is short and to the point. Please sign the petition I spoke of yesterday in my diary. It is going to be on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's desk by the deadline of tomorrow morning, so time is of the essence. Please go to the link below, and let's STOP BLACKWATER from building any more bases in America, and make them close shop, period:

Blackwater: Why does Bush need a private Praetorian Guard?

Sat May 03, 2008 at 08:36:38 PM PDT

He is already Commander-in-Chief of the United States Armed Forces, the most lethal military on this planet. So why does he also need a mercenary army?

The very definition of, and operating by and under no other name but the evil twins of tyranny and police state:
"A shadow army within an army. A shadow chain of command within a chain of command. Plans within plans. Above United States local, state, and federal law. Above international laws. Above Iraqi laws. Above US military law".

I want, no I demand my country back!

Mon Apr 14, 2008 at 11:15:37 AM PDT

I was born free and I intend to stay free! This Bush war criminal cabal will never break my will to remain free!

I wonder what would the world be like if all of our children were taught to question everything, and never to take anything at face value. I know I've always been the eternal skeptic, never accepting anything in this world at face value, and I have always questioned all "givens".
Trust is earned, never freely given. If someone says, "this is thus and so", I say "prove it". Because if anything that is claimed as a fact cannot stand-up to the light of day, then it is not the truth. And if it is not the truth, then it should never be accepted, no matter how many times the BIG LIE is told, and no matter much power the ones telling it thinks they have over us!

Bush is almost unstoppable:"How many divisions has Congress"?

Tue Apr 08, 2008 at 08:19:30 PM PDT

Talk about a perfect storm brewing: Martial law on the horizon. If there's riots in Denver at the Democratic convention in August look out!
As reported by the AP yesterday, "A deal to allow delegates from Florida and Michigan to participate at the Democratic National Convention is unlikely before summer, party chief Howard Dean said Sunday". Howard Dean goes on further stating, "It's going to take some time to work that out because these candidates are really focused on these primary battles in ... Pennsylvania and West Virginia and North Carolina and so forth and so on," Dean told "Face the Nation" on CBS. "And so it's going to take some time to work this out. But I think we can work it out, and I want to work it out," he said.

But remember Obama's "the fierce urgency of now" as I explain the importance of ending the primary season sooner rather than later, under the fold...

We Need "Volunteers"! with poll.

Mon Mar 10, 2008 at 09:21:48 PM PDT

Who among you will volunteer to be the last one to die on Bush's altar of war in Iraq? Or if you knew you would be the last one to die there, for which presidential candidate would you vote?

Photobucket

There isn't a breathing soul in America or in the rest of the known civilized world, who by now, doesn't know that Mister Bush's war of liberation, war on terror, and spreading democracy at the point of a gun in Iraq was based solely upon deliberate lies, otherwise known by we historians as propaganda. About 935 of them!

Let the FACTS speak for themselves: The REAL McCain revealed.

Sat Feb 09, 2008 at 10:51:54 AM PDT

McCain's Real Record on the War in Iraq
Why this man's record and hot temper shows why Senator McCain has no business occupying the WH, or with his fingers anywhere near our nuclear trigger.

Is this the face of the man you want to lead this nation into the next war--and you know McCain and the neocons are just itching to attack Iran?

King Bush II does it again: Bush's Latest Abuse of Signing Statements

Wed Feb 06, 2008 at 06:35:30 PM PDT

Photobucket
Over 1000 de facto acts of coup d'etat and overthrow of the Legislative and Judicial branches, and not once did our Congress stand-up for itself, the rule of law, or the Constitution!

Under our Constitution, only the Legislature has the power to legislate OUR nation's laws.

Under our Constitution, only the Judicial branch has the constitutional right to interpret OUR nation's laws!
Bush, the man, declared and exhalted himself himself dictator by his own will--NOT THE PEOPLE'S WILL--more than 1000 times, exceeding all of the preceding 42 presidents COMBINED, thumbing his nose at, and usurping the authority granted to HIS OFFICE--NOT TO GEORGE W. BUSH THE MAN! Just because it's an election year, and Bush is leaving office in 11 months, doesn't mean that he can't contiue to do more untold damage to our republic before he leaves--unless WE THE PEOPLE stop him!

John's Not Going Anywhere, folks!

Sun Jan 27, 2008 at 06:02:28 PM PDT

It's no secret here that I have opposed the Bush neocon agenda and His Majesty the King Bush II from my very first comment and my very first diary in 2006. Nothing has changed. I never accept anything at face value and for better or worse, I question everything. That's what we inventors do. That's what we Democratic activists do. And that's what movers and shakers are supposed to do!

Tonight, I was accused of being a cynic. Life made me that way, and I wear my cynicism like a badge of honor!

This year our party has three qualified candidates running to clean-up the mess that Bush is leaving us all. The Iraq war, the perpetual war that McCain has said he's willing to stay a hundred years fighting.

If you want to know why I'm a cynic, follow me under the fold...

My response to Senator Kerry's diary.

Wed Jan 23, 2008 at 11:17:47 PM PDT

First, let me say that I agree with your opposition to swiftboating any of our Dem candidates and I applaud your valiant service to this nation, fighting heroically in a war you detested. I remember a younger, hard-charging John Kerry who hated the Vietnam war so much, he testified before Congress against it. Yet you still served with distinction and valor!

Follow me under the fold for my response to his diary and my question today for Senator John Kerry. Please holster your tasers until the end of my diary...

Who do you trust to provide the unvarnished truth? With poll.

Sat Jan 05, 2008 at 02:20:21 AM PDT

Empire's not so bad after all kids!

Well, that's what you who rely on the United States government or the MSM for your news would be led to think. Bush's news and Reich wing propaganda machine[or most of the MSM] would lead you to believe that 2007 has been our best year yet going on in the Iraq war chapter of our history, fast approaching the five year anniversary of May 2, 2008 of our "Mission Accomplished" of Iraq. Well, nothing could be further from the truth.

But if you only depend on your news from our government and corporate-controlled MSM and media outlets, you would swear that maybe the Bush invasion and subjugation wasn't so bad, and maybe the neocon concept and agenda for world hegemony and empire is not such a bad idea after all!

Follow my rant under the fold, as this is only a primer, and you'll see just a little bit why you should never trust our government or our MSM for any of your news, unless of course you just happen to like drinking the neocon koolaid. I personally never touch the stuff...

Making laws are like making sausage, if you saw it you'd hate them.

Mon Dec 31, 2007 at 03:13:24 AM PDT

Who's the Legislature here anyway, Bush or Congress?

The other day, I was daydreaming about night things in the middle of the afternoon. You know, what it's like. You want to take things you hear at face value and you want to have faith in your government. You truly want to, have faith, that is. Then, it hit me like a freight train! I remember reading the original, unrevised, un-enhanced version of the USA PATRIOT ACT after it was passed in 2001, and how it took my laborious reading of it FIVE times before I could make head or tails out of it, and knowing that there was no forking way that the ex-party animal Bush read it even ONCE before signing it.

Heck, not even the Congress wrote it, Professor John Yoo and Michael Chertoff being its co-authors, crafting its basic draft almost a full year before its final passage after 9/11, and Congress only privy to a scant coversheet of this mammoth new law, giving Bush new greater powers over our private lives, which wasn't too surprising seeing that he already was secretly(and illegally)warrantlessly wiretapping us too, at least 6 months before 9/11.

Please follow me under the fold, this is important dang it...

My Top Keith Olbermann 2007 Special Comments

Sun Dec 30, 2007 at 03:25:42 AM PDT

Keith Olbermann is by far the most popular commentator on Dkos. His blistering critiques of the Bush administration have kept us more than entertained this year. He has educated the American people. He has exposed the Reich wing propaganda and attack dogs for what it and they are. KO has shown time and time again that the Iraq war was nothing more than a war criminal war of aggression, based on nothing but lies, and a war of subjugation for a false mission; and that Mister Bush's war on terror has been more focused on the theme that the American people are the enemy.

Instead of focusing on the real terrorists, Mister Bush has assumed near-dictatorial powers, scrapping every single plank of the Bill of Rights, save the 2nd Amendment's right to bear arms.

We don't need any stinking impeachment articles!

Sat Dec 15, 2007 at 06:25:11 AM PDT

Mister Bush, it can be a very stressful time in your life if the United States of America has decided to investigate you. And since our Congress has been lax in its sworn duties to investigate you in the form of impeachment hearings, you may have been living under the false sense of security that you are the President, and that high office somehow shields you from the Constitution's sword of justice and the consequences for flouting the rule of law. But do not be deceived, sir. It doesn't!

I feel like a foreigner in my own country.

Fri Dec 14, 2007 at 06:24:52 AM PDT

"Ich bin ein auslander", translated to mean I am a foreigner in my own country.

I've felt like a foreigner in my own country for such a long, long time now. In fact, I don't even know my nation of birth some 55 years ago on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 anymore( which incidentally is also my first anniversary of making TU here on Dkos. Make all checks payable to...no, just kidding!) And I fear for the survival of our republic in ways that I've never felt before, unable to shake this gut-wrenching feeling that something most terrible is in the offing for us all. Anyway, everybody here seems to be more than just a little bit uneasy about the awful state of our union under the auspices of the newly-elected 110th Congress and their apparent total capitulation and surrender to Mister Bush.

Last night, I happened upon some rare and never-before or at the very least suppressed publicized videos of his speeches on YouTube, that I wished to share with everyone today, if I may be permitted the lattitude under the fold...

The Terrorists Won what they couldn't win on the battlefield!

Thu Dec 13, 2007 at 02:18:13 AM PDT

Here's an epiphany, your Damascus road, Mister Bush: Americans did not attack us on 9/11! But you and your minions have relentlessly attacked us!

So why the rush towards police state? Over Osama bin Laden, a toothless lion cub who couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag? Over 19 dead hijackers with box cutters who couldn't land an airplane on their best day, much less execute the resulting coup d'etat the aftermath of 9/11? Over a deposed and executed dictator who used to rule Iraq by the name of Saddam Hussein?

Are we to believe that the greatest nation on this planet is a paper tiger, that it can defend itself most effectively, with the utmost efficiency and supremacy over any other nation, against any other military power on this planet, indeed any given 100 nations, but it cannot defeat this concept called terrorism without enslaving, subjugating, terrorizing its own people?
