MSM Reaction to McClellan

Wed May 28, 2008 at 03:17:59 PM PDT

I have been watching the 24 hour news channels for the last couple of hours because I was curious to see how the MSM would cover the McClellan book.  The basic response from most of the "talking heads" has been basically implying that McClellan is a sellout.  As I watched more closely, several of the bobbleheads really got around to why they were so offended - McClellan was calling the MSM out for not during their jobs during the runup to the Iraq War.

Barack Cracks Me Up

Fri May 09, 2008 at 05:45:22 AM PDT

Barack Obama really cracks me up when he insults his competitors.  I was watching the CNN interview with Barack yesterday, when Wolf Blitzer asked Barack about McCain saying Hamas favored Barack as President.  Barack responded that McCain was losing his bearings.  I heard the comment and it took me about a minute to realize how badly he really slammed McCain.

Each Black Vote Should Only Count 3/5

Thu May 08, 2008 at 03:51:28 PM PDT

Hillary Clinton is losing her mind.  I can't believe she came out and made comments about "hard working Americans, White Americans".  I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, but she has clearly going off the deep end.

A Legitimate Question for Hillary

Tue May 06, 2008 at 06:13:35 AM PDT

On CNN this morning, the CNN news anchors were doing interviews with people in Indiana and North Carolina to get a feel for primaries in those states today.  The CNN anchors interviewed two radio hosts from Indianapolis radio station WIBC.  During the interview one of the radio hosts, Jake Query, was talking about the interview he had with Hillary Clinton, which occurred earlier this morning. Jake mentioned that he asked Hillary Clinton a question about Reverend Wright.  After Hillary answered the question, Jake asked Hillary does she consider the Reverend Wright issue a private issue between Barack and Rev. Wright, since Hillary and Chelsea Clinton have both said that they won't answer questions about the Monica Lewinsky issue because it is a private issue.  Jake said that that Hillary pretty much agreed the Rev. Wright issue was a private issue.

Additional Diary on Elton John's Hypocrisy

Thu Apr 10, 2008 at 06:48:14 PM PDT

I really wanted to comment on Elton John's hypocrisy on the previous diary that was posted here, but that diary is no longer available.  Elton John sat on stage and accused Americans of being sexist because they are voting for Hillary, and then said "to hell with them".  I think that is completely outrageous.

BREAKING: The Real Tritiny United Church of Christ

Wed Mar 26, 2008 at 01:47:16 PM PDT

Once again, the MSM has pulled a fast one of the American public.  All we have heard for the last couple of weeks was how the Trinity United Church of Christ was a black separatist church and how their pastor and member were racist.  Well if you dig a little, you can always find out different information.

Democrats, We Can't Do This Again

Tue Mar 25, 2008 at 09:14:20 AM PDT

I read a diary from futurebird earlier today saying that middle class blacks are not going to vote for Hillary Clinton.  Futurebird also stated that several of their family members were going to vote for John McCain or not vote at all if Hillary ended up as the Democratic nominee.  I am a upper middle class African American, and I am a huge Obama supporter.  I totally identify with what the diarist is saying, but we as Democrats can't do this.  As much as I disagree with Hillary Clinton, and as much as I despise they way she has injected race into this campaign, we Democrats are going to have to get behind her if she gets the nomination.

Barney Frank on Real Time with Bill Maher

Sun Mar 23, 2008 at 09:38:54 AM PDT

Did anyone happen to see Barney Frank on Real Time with Bill Maher this weekend?  I usually like Barney pretty much but he was acting very strange on the show this weekend.  He acted really rude towards Maher as well as the other panelists on the show.

Claire McCaskill

Thu Mar 13, 2008 at 12:30:27 PM PDT

Claire McCaskill is awesome.  She was on MSNBC and she made an excellent comment.  The interviewer mentioned an article in the Louisville Courier which stated that Geraldine Ferraro was voicing the opinion of several white feminist that are angry that a black man might get the Presidency before a white woman.  McClaskill commented that you can't be the victim and the leader at the same time, which is one of the most brilliant comments I have heard this election cycle.  She also made the comment that the Democratic Party can't burn down their house and hope to win the Presidency.

I am shocked at the hatred and behavior that has been displayed by some of the older, white feminist that are supporting Hillary Clinton.  Gloria Steinhem made pretty much the same argument against Obama in the New York Times.  I don't understand what all this anger is all about.  I know that the feminist want to have a woman as the President, but they are going about it the wrong way.  They are going to end splitting the party apart, and cause the Democrats to lose the election.

If the Democratic Party is really looking for a strong woman to be a President, they need to consider McCaskill.  She seems like a really brilliant principled woman.  McCaskill for President 2016!

2nd time Ferraro Has Played Race Card on Black Presidential Candidate

Tue Mar 11, 2008 at 08:31:40 PM PDT

Apparently this is the second time Geraldine Ferraro has claimed a black Presidential candidate has gotten where they are because they are black.  She apparently said the same thing about Jesse Jackson in 1988.  This is a pattern.
http://www.politico.com/...

The Clinton campaign has shown a pattern of trying to play the race card.  I guarantee you if Hillary gets the nomination, the black people are either going to stay home or are going to vote for John McCain.  I hate for something like this to happen, but unfortunately this is what Hillary Clinton is going to cause.

Thoughts about Obama Going Negative

Sun Mar 09, 2008 at 11:12:17 AM PDT

I know a lot of people on here are saying that Obama shouldn't go negative against Hillary, but I think Obama has to do whatever it takes to win.  I appreciate Obama trying to take the high road in order to get elected, but unfortunately, he doesn't have opponents that have honor so he needs to change his tactics.  Just think what would have happened if Al Gore or some of his supporters would have stood up to the Republicans and got down the mud with Bush and Karl Rove.  I think today's world would be very different.  If Al or his supporters would have been more forceful in 2000 about the the Bush/Rove/MSM's lies, we would probably be ending the second term of President Al Gore in January 2009.
