SD's, Your Role, Should You Decide To Accept It...

Fri May 09, 2008 at 12:39:19 AM PDT

I have reached the absolute end.

I was open to the idea of Mrs. Clinton having all the room in the world to make a graceful exit from the stage but after her comments today, I am finished.

I always understood the idea behind Super Delegates was to have a method in place meant to keep the Democratic Party from damaging itself, from self destructing. From where I stand, this protracted and ugly fight is damaging us and continues to do so.

It is now clear Hillary Clinton has no legitimate path to the Democratic nomination and moreover, it appears that from here on out, it is her intention to make sure the presumed nominee is so beat up as to make the uniting of the party as difficult and unlikely as possible.

So tonight I wrote a letter to my Senators, Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell. They are both Hillary Clinton supporters and Super Delegates, and I made my feelings known regarding this continuing debacle.

Hillary's Reality Threshold.

Thu May 01, 2008 at 03:02:03 PM PDT

So many writers and bloggers seem absolutely surprised that Hillary is able to ignore the endless bad news, seemingly oblivious to the impossible math and the drum beat by many to call it a day. But this is not new behavior for her.

Sour Milk, Bitter Butter and Stale Beer...

Tue Apr 22, 2008 at 11:46:19 PM PDT

...this primary season is past it's expiration date.

It's like an infinite loop with no escape.

It's like listening to a little kid sing one line of a lame song over and over on a long hot road trip you didn't really want to go on.

It's like a bad relationship that just doesn't ever get resolved, and thanks to Pennsylvania there is no resolution in sight..

Hillarys Math is all About Long Division

Thu Mar 13, 2008 at 04:44:34 PM PDT

According to TPM, in a private meeting on March 12th, Hillary Clinton gave a pep talk in which she predicted "We're gonna win this" Follow me over the fold for some insight into these Clinton strategy meetings.

Questions of Obamas Religion: Use the Power of Words!

Tue Feb 26, 2008 at 09:36:28 AM PDT

Since they allude to JFK relatively often, I think Barack and is team may need to give a speech about his faith in much the same sort of way JFK addressed questions of his faith on Sept. 12, 1960.

At the time, many questioned Kennedy's Roman Catholic faith  Kennedy addressed those concerns and it may be time to take a chapter from Kennedy's campaign and meet the Muslim whispers head on.

Follow me over the fold for some ideas.

Obama: First Gen X President? Nope

Fri Feb 22, 2008 at 08:18:58 AM PDT

Is Barack Obama on the verge of becoming the first Generation X President or is he a member of the last of the Baby Boomers? Follow me over the fold and we'll take a look at the generational trends that have shaped this candidate for President.

Campaign 2008: What Would Molly Ivins Do?

Fri Feb 15, 2008 at 11:41:35 PM PDT

A little over a year ago we lost a wonderful and insightful friend in Molly Ivins. I have often wondered what her take on the current campaign would be and how she might in her own deft and charming way, cut through the spin and BS.

I know she would be engaged and having a great time, after all this is the women who nicknamed GWB, Shrub. So I went to some of her writings and tried to get a sense of what she might have to say.

Follow me over the fold and you'll see that as always not only did she have a "take" on this current election season, she also "nailed it."

Clinton Strategy: A lie told often enough eventually becomes the truth.

Ok, I have been waiting for this transcript to be posted and it came up this morning. Lisa Caputo, former press secretary to Hillary Clinton during Bill's first term in the White House, being interviewed by Wolf Blitzer on The Situation Room this past Tuesday night. Follow me over the fold!

Clinton Camp: If you say it enough, it will be true.

Wed Feb 13, 2008 at 11:25:05 PM PDT

I keep hearing surrogates and followers creating this meme about disenfranchising all those poor Florida and Michigan voters and how even though Hillary signed the agreement she never meant it to, you know, "disenfranchise" them. More over the fold.

Clinton Campaign: Fire that shiny distraction over there!

Tue Feb 12, 2008 at 12:59:15 PM PDT

Who here is tired of this David Shuster thing? It feels like 2004 and the Cheney daughter "they called her a lesbian" lost week. LOOK LOOK at the shiny object over there. Don't notice that my campaign is taking on water!

Hillary Clinton: Supreme Court Justice?

Sun Feb 10, 2008 at 07:53:38 PM PDT

This is one amazing individual. She has considerable talents and though I personally prefer Barack Obama, that doesn't diminish her one iota as a highly qualified gifted person who can contribute much to the nation. Follow me over the fold and lets chat.

Obama Rises Far Above McCain

Fri Feb 08, 2008 at 11:36:38 PM PDT

According to John McCaslin (of the admittedly conservative website Townhall.com) the height of the candidates plays a real and significant role in American politics and has for the better part of our history. In this article he makes the case that McCain doesn't have a chance if this trend holds true this election cycle. Follow me over the jump and I'll explain with links!!

Dear Senator _________, LEAD OR ELSE!

Tue Jul 03, 2007 at 09:24:41 PM PDT

I reached a tipping point today and I am certain that I am not the only good citizen to have reached that place. I have gone from unhappy to uneasy to upset to angry and finally to a place where I am demanding action from leaders. LEAD US OR ELSE FACE DAILY CALLS FROM ANGRY CITIZENS. SO today I called my Senators and my Congressional Representative and made clear my expectations, I have followed that up with the following letter over the fold.

Best House in the World

Thu May 17, 2007 at 04:02:01 AM PDT

I used this analogy when I was chatting with a client the other day and she said it was a good frame and that I should share it. I hope you agree

By most accounts there are 194 countries in the world. Now let's say for a moment that the earth is a neighborhood, it could be a small town or a little sub-division, but either way a neighborhood. Really not such a big stretch is it? I

Deja Vu all over again.

Mon Feb 12, 2007 at 08:36:22 AM PDT

So I can't shake this feeling this morning, it's making me uncomforatble, angry, disturbed, depressed and alarmed. I woke to the "happy" talk of Diane Sawyer helping the powers at ABC/Disney beat the drums of war for military action against Iran. I see the lies of the Washington post as soon as I go online. The only surprise here is that Judy Miller hasnt turned on her red light, though I am sure it's just a matter of time.

THIS pRESIDENT AND THIS ADMINISTRATION HAVE NO CREDIBILITY!
Please tell me this is going to blow up in their faces.

Because the world needs to know our hearts.

Wed Jan 17, 2007 at 12:40:09 PM PDT

It’s so simple, one has to wonder why the mainstream media can’t or won’t talk about it. One has to assume it is because they are so embedded with conventional wisdom and faith based politicos, that they couldn’t see reality if it were plastered to the end of their noses.

I could almost hear the group think sigh of relief throughout the beltway when President Ford died, it gave them a reason to collectively remind all of us how “good” it was for our nation to allow the power of the presidency to run amok, to disregard the rule of law, to use the power of the bully pulpit to be a real bully, and then pardon “for the good of the country” without holding any individual liable for their criminal behavior.

Do you want to FIRE GLENN BECK?

Thu Nov 16, 2006 at 03:55:23 PM PDT

I have been thinking about this long and hard today and here is the deal. With so much access via email, lots of organizations including government see email as a numbers game, so they don't read it or see it the same as they see phone calls for example. So what gets even more notice? Join me over the hump.
