How to tell Obama how we feel about FISA

Tue Jul 01, 2008 at 05:38:02 AM PDT

I wish I had more suggestions than questions at this point, but like many of you here, I strongly oppose FISA and I strongly support Barack Obama, and I want to find the most effective way to make my voice heard.  Now that the vote has been delayed until after the July 4th holiday, we have some additional time to make our opposition to FISA known, but we need to have effective channels of communication to the campaign in order to accomplish this task.

5 years of Bush, McCain, and Hillary's war

Wed Mar 19, 2008 at 06:52:08 AM PDT

On this 5th anniversary of the beginning of the Iraq war, I think it is important to take stock of what George Bush's war has done to this country, and what we can do to prevent history from repeating itself.  The media has been trying to convince us that "the surge worked" and that Iraq is not a gruesome quagmire anymore, but the bloody occupation continues, costing us trillions of dollars, with no end in sight.  This fall, the democratic party needs to win the White house and increase our leads in Congress if we hope to bring this pointless mess to an end and get our country back on track.  We have a choice between two Democratic candidates for president who had very different outlooks on this invasion before it began.  Hillary Clinton trusted George Bush and Dick Cheney, she stood with the right wing war machine, and she refuses to apologize or denounce her terrible action of voting to invade Iraq.  In that time of deception and uncertainty, it was Barack Obama who stood up and denounced the disasterous war before it began, and it is he who stands ready to bring the war to an end and restore credibility to our nation.
