First let me just say that I think the idea of giving people $300 (or more depending on if married, or if you have kids etc.) to "stimulate the economy is just plain ridiculous.

This non-voter is actually a good friend of mine.  She is 38-years-old and she has never voted for anyone or anything because she felt that they were all alike, so why bother.  
Obviously Obama has some kind of magic to be able to get someone who isn't the slightest interested in politics to want to vote for the first time!

This diary is motivated by the fact that I miss the dailykos of "yesteryear" err...."yester-months", where most of the diaries were about defeating the republicans.
I have to say I am relieved to see more diaries about the real enemy (the republicans) today, than the countless Obama and Clinton diaries, that have quite frankly become a bit overwhelming.

Truth be told, it is an exciting time to be a democrat no matter who you support.  We have an African-American and a woman who are both damn fine people competing to be our nominee to be the President of the United States!  You sure as hell won't find that on the other side!  I get goose-bumps just thinking about it!

Just like many of you on daily kos, I am passionate about which candidate I support for the primaries; and that person is John Edwards.
I have never given money to any political person until John Edwards came along.  I really can't afford to give much, which is why I have never been moved to do so until now, but John's obvious support of struggling middle class people like me moved me to do so for the first time.

Anyway, this diary isn't about trying to convince anyone to vote for who I think is the best choice, because I know once someone has made up their mind, most likely nothing will change it.
