Gonzales & Texas Teen Scandal

by creepers

As reported by Jerome Corsi of WorldNetDaily and picked up bytherawstory, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton-both already under siege for other matters-are now being accused of failing to prosecute officers of the Texas Youth Commission after a Texas Ranger investigation documented that guards and administrators were sexually abusing the institution's teenage boy inmates.

The Dallas Morning News extensive investigative report supports the findings of World Net Daily.

The Houston Chronicle and The New York Timeshave also reported this story.

The Reagan Tactic

by creepers

The recent Republican debate was more the resurrection of Ronald Reagan than ten candidates vying for the party nomination.

The name of the late President was evoked 19 times.

"What we can borrow from Ronald Reagan ... is that great sense of optimism," said Giuliani.

"Ronald Reagan was a president of strength," said former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

And so on and so on and so on.

The debate was practically a postmortem set-up for the late President.  Not only was the event staged at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, widow Nancy sat in attendance.

All politics is staged.   Whether 100 flags fly in the background or 100 military vets stand at attention, it's all about the nonverbal.

It's all about the implied message, baby.

Rehab Help Needed

by creepers

Someone I care about is heavy into prescription drugs.

I'm afraid that without rehab-she will die.

She is uninsured.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions, advice, direction?

I know this is probably the wrong place to post this, but I'm desperate.

My thoughts are with so many people from all over visiting the Kos, someone might be able to's hard without health insurance.

She is in Florida but she is not limited to that location for rehab.

Thank you.

The Nancy Grace Tipping Point

by creepers

Nancy Grace has reached the tipping point.

Jon Stewart gave her the royal "Daily Show" send-off.

Even "Pop of Shock" Stephen King is appalled by "Graceless and Tasteless", citing the Grace airing of the pre-suicide interview of young mom Melinda Duckett  as "...ugly and shameful. As journalism it's immoral, and as entertainment, it's outright pimpery."

Yet-in CNN's infinite wisdom-with several lawsuits pending against Grace-has permitted her access to the victims of Virginia Tech.

Together...let us engage in a collective virtual "What's up with that?"

Smashed Frog  invites all to join the discussion here every Thursday as we educate the public to finally close the book on JEB.

Ann Richards once said that George H.W. Bush Sr. was lucky enough to be born on third base, yet continue to believe he hit a stand-up triple.  Jeb-with brains, a willingness to learn, and with all the right social and business connections-hit his own triple.

Between 1980 and 1993, Jeb went from no savings and mammoth credit card debt to a net worth of $2.2 million.

Author S.V. Date describes how the man made his money-quick-in Chapter Three. Miami.

Fire Nancy Grace...NOW

by creepers

In the aftermath of the Don Imus firing, Smashed Frog finds it extremely ironic that Nancy Grace remains on the air.

As if the online verbal assault which symbolically pushed young mom Melinda Duckett over the edge was not enough, the clearing of the three Duke University students must now be evidence enough for CNN.

Grace has become too much of a legal liability for the network to keep her on air.

Fire Nancy Grace...NOW.

No Longer Civilly Stripped

by creepers

The sun shines just a bit brighter today in Florida for 515,000 citizens.

Chain Gang Charlie did the right thing.

Thursday, April 5, 2007, he and the Florida Cabinet, sitting as the Board of Executive Clemency, voted to restore civil rights, including voting rights, to non-violent felons who have served their sentences.

Loyalty enforcement is the best way to describe the J.E.B. management style.

Those who cross him can expect to be punished.

The Bush clan teethed on revenge.

Valerie Plame is the perfect example of revenge-GW-style. Question him about the war in Iraq, Joseph Wilson? Well, payback's hell, buddy and I'm starting with your wife's career.

But we are not here to ponder George. He'll be history soon enough. John Ellis Bush is the subject of discussion today. As so well stated by JEB America's Next Bush author, S.V. Date,

"In Florida, Jeb has been, if anything, an even bigger believer in the big stick."

Let's count the ways.

Jeb is probably still reeling from the slap in the face by University of Florida.

How dare the university deny him an honorary degree.

Those stupid teachers.  What do they know?  How quickly all forget that I was the Education Governor.

After all, he-John Ellis Bush-is absolutely entitled to that Ph.D.  Not only did he earn the recognition through his hard work as Florida's two-term governor, for crying out loud, the post-Bush years should be strewn with accolades.  That's part of JEB's pre-Presidential game plan.

J.E.B. 666

by creepers

The sign of the beast sucked me in at Barnes & Noble.

America's Next Bush.

Horrified by the sheer thought, yet fortified by the collective sigh relaxing the state of Florida since the term-limit ousting of King J.E.B., I pounced on the book of blasphemy.
