There seems to be a mysterious blue cloud hanging over Kanawa county.....
Under the radar this little gem just slid through the House. It passed a couple hours ago without fanfare.
With people like Bill Press filling in on liberal talk shows, who needs Rush Limppaw?
Are we totally wasting our time here? Do we need to just take a vacation to some other country and relax for awhile, get our blood pressure down? Start looking at moving to another totalitarian country? At least one that doesn't pretend to be a Republic?
Listening to local talk radio host this morning. Station runs hard to the right later in the day, but morning drive is pretty interesting.
Host announced Phylis Shafley would be on in a moment, I thought I would listen for a minute until my head started hurting, then change the station.
Friday night it was a rare treat to watch a show with three articulate, well-informed people. Bill Moyers Journal discussed impeachment and its ramifications.
Didn't see this diaried, if so, sorry.
sung to "What a friend we have in Jesus...." It is the Bush anthem. The right-wing Wurlitzer fires up and the refrain begins....
the House has quietly been passing all the trade bills that they agreed on with the Bush administration.
Alternative title "HAVE WE TOTALLY LOST OUR MINDS?"
New York Times report on the Immigration vote in the Senate. Various amendments have been offered, turned down, counter offered.
Cornyn-R TX offered an amendment to exclude from consideration for legalization various felons, etc.....
Is this where we are? Do we perceive ourselves as Irish, German, Chinese, Hispanic, Indian. We keep hearing the old saw that we are a nation of immigrants. That may be the case, but are we truly the melting pot that we once were?
Here it is. The be all end all immigration bill for the 110th Congress, being introduced into the House, there is a similar bill to be introduced into the Senate.
Instead of resurrecting all the years of the gun controversy, why don't we get to the real problem?
Never mind that Iraq is a disaster, Afghanistan is going in the toilet, New Orleans is slipping back into anarchy. It's been a year since the bombing in the tube in London, couple years since the bombing in Spain.
