So, like everybody else, you're now thinking, "HEY, where can I get some squirrels too?"

Rudy's Spaced Out View of History

by jtg

In tonight's New Hampshire GOP primary debate, Rudy Giuliani showed he is either ignorant of history, or a liar.

He claimed at one point that President Eisenhower "started the moon program, which was then continued by Kennedy, continued by Johnson, and finished by Nixon.

That is NOT true.

An Occurrence in a Parking Lot with W04

by jtg

Note, this may not be the most important nor political post you'll read today, but I think it may be illustrative of something.

O.K., so here's what happened...

Dad and I had gone to Monterey's Farmer's Market and were getting into the car to go home.  The parking lot was packed and many cars were circling the lot looking for an empty place.

I saw a woman about to drive into an open parking spot, when suddenly another car driving by a man frantically cut her off while almost running into her and with inches to spare, pulled into the spot she was clearly about to go into.  The woman honked at him and shouted, "Hey, I was here first".  The man shouted "no, I WAS HERE FIRST", and they engaged in some angry back-and-forth for a few moments and she shouted "JERK" and drove away.
